that was for the babylonian dlc
there was a ~100mb patch though:
patch 1.0.0.17
Quote: |
1. Game now runs if user path includes special characters.
2. AI will now make gold per turn deals in amounts other than 5 GPT.
3. Open borders is canceled immediately if war is declared and troops in enemy lands displaced.
4. AI valuation of cities in trades and peace deals improved.
5. Unit maintenance now scales appropriately in Time Limit games.
6. Various crash fixes.

heh yea ok not patch, or that would have been one hell of a patch.
Could be deluxe edition perhaps? I just seem to remember some people on civfanatic.org saying they had to download an aditional 1gb. cant find the tread now though, perhaps i am wrong.

The deluxe edition extras is about 30 MB for the civilization and data (Wonder if they got the bonus map mesopotamia in that release since it's stored elsewhere.), but includes a OSD and making of video, OSD at 200 MB or so and the video at 680 MB, heh.
EDIT: As above though there was a .17 update to the game.
(Mentioned briefly earlier but I had no idea what it did until I read the above.)

Quote: | A patch for Civilization V has been pushed to Steam. This patch should update your game automatically, however it's recommended to exit completely the Steam client (so it's no longer in the system tray) and restart it to force Steam to download the patch.
Fixes:
- Game now runs if user path includes special characters.
- AI will now make gold per turn deals in amounts other than 5 GPT.
- Open borders is canceled immediately if war is declared and troops in enemy lands displaced.
- AI valuation of cities in trades and peace deals improved.
- Unit maintenance now scales appropriately in Time Limit games.
- Various crash fixes.

Hope it's included in skid's release, those are relatively important fixes.

So how likely is it that Skidrow fucked something up again? Wouldn't be the first time in the recent past

Somebody remember the days when you needed about two days to download a 2gb game?
Nowadays it's "there's a relase" and even the slowest guys have it about an hour later.
The internetz are awesome!
