E7200, 4GB, 4870. Performance dropped *again* Looks like it was just a glitch to actually have some decent performance, it's dropped down to 30s in large areas with blur enabled. Pfft, I stand by my previous statement; poorly coded trash and the trolls can go DIAF for all I care.

Disable the blur then? It's not that nice.

that way the zombies can't cling on to you just tap you a bit.
low piece of health falls off...
or find a wheelchair.
one of the people will sit in em and you can kill zombies wit that one |
Oh yeah, thanks for the tip... actually noticed one dude sit in a wheelchair when I accidentally grabbed it!!
Anyways, I disabled bur and now the game is constantly 60+ fps and I have no idea where the blur was even factoring in anyway...
1 and 2 are still amazing.

Just asking (maybe I'm missing something) but there's really no way to keep all the clothes you collected? :/

1024 is quite different to 1680 Incidentally, how are you running in DX10 mode mate? I've seen no options for DX9 or DX10 and, according to FRAPS, I'm running in DX9 and you in DX10
|
No I'm actually playing at 1600x1200 (which is the maximum resolution supported by my old sammy 204b), I've resized the image with abload because was too big
As for the DX10, I don't know really, seems that the game automaticly detects if you have DX 10 or 9 without needing to set it up.
Btw, some unresized pics ("Alta" is High )

Not that I can see, mate. In DR1 you had a locker which stored your clothes (DLC and otherwise, but DR1 clothing DLC was free anyhow) but I've not seen anything in DR2 yet. Meh.
@Ixi
Well I'll be fucked it I know, lol. Sometimes relatively decent performance (40s-50s), but other times it's just ridiculous (20s-30s) Sod it, who cares anyway right?

There's a locker in the safe house.

None, there is a locker in the safehouse but I don't think you can store anything but the default (And DLC) clothes in there, running back and forth would be needed though if you could as you can only wear one thing at a time and swap when switching outfits.
Regarding FRAPS I only see DX9 with the transparent framerate counter and can't find any DX10 stuff in the exe, could be a bug depending on version used. (Latest is 3.2.3 )
Second case now and nearly done with it, running around in a swimsuit (banana something.) and sport glasses with a mohawk, if they could the other NPC's would probably laugh.
(Broadsword as primary weapon, really slices up those zombies, even cleaving them in half occasionally with a power attack, machete and broom as a spear like backup weapon, had other stuff but they broke and I'm constantly experimenting and creating weird stuff.)

@mArkAntonioo
Yeah but (if you're talking about the one in the restroom) it only stores th default outfit, DLC clothes and "reward" clothes so not the ones you grab along the way.

Im getting inside buildings, even there is shitloads of zombies like 80fps+ and in outdoors where there is really like hundreds zombies onscreen 60fps+ (1080p/4xAA/16xAF everything on highest). Imo this game is nicely optimized, maybe dual core starts showing its age, when there is shitloads of zombies on screen, guys tried lowering zombie detail?

It does have some nice optimizations (Some of the outside scenes look fantastic with that light blur and motion blur effect.) but can stutter and fall a bit in terms of framerate, hardware wise anything will run well if you have the computer for it, GT480 would be more than enough for any current game baring optimization problems and driver issues.
(Zombies are rather basic but their amount does affect CPU and the streaming does need a good CPU and RAM to be efficient, somewhat HDD reliant as well for loading time and the like but it's mostly related to the GPU from what I've noticed.)
(The game tries to maintain a thousand to two thousand active NPC's on screen with more in the background up to six or so thousand for the total engine limit or some such, it should run far slower with that kind of stuff particularly for the X360 considering it's still rather detailed though culled heavily and most NPC AI is very basic but it's still impressive, lots of post-processing effects as well though texture and shadow resolution is kept simple.)

Firework rockets and pipe is my favorite so far. I mean dead zombies + pretty explosions, what not to love?
The most useless so far must be drill bucket, but looks cool.
