in this game we are playing an weird lady, with Pink hair,Cat ears and Tail.as a side scrolling 2D-platform/shotting game.
Quote: | Atari has announced its intentions to bring Blade Kitten to Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network, and PC this September. Krome Studios is currently working on the videogame adaptation of Steve Stamatiadis' comic book series. The game will serve as a prequel to the comics, showing events three years prior to its start.
Jim Wilson, the President and CEO of Atari offered this comment in the press release, "Bringing the anime-inspired universe of Blade Kitten to life via Xbox LIVE Arcade, Playstation Network and PC Download is sure to resonate with gamers. With high-quality, colorful arcade action, which translates incredibly from comic book to videogame and a new spin on side-scrolling non-stop action to an already rabid platforming fan base of gamers on XBLA and PSN, we are looking forward to a successful launch."

Just tried out, very very disappointing game, believe me. Nothing soecial to do in fact except jump, run, kill ennemies and jump, run, kill ennemies, etc. Very pormising at first, but after 3-4 levels, meh.

Tried it... didn't like it. Shoddy visuals with very poor animation, awful audio (if I have to hear that stupid bint spout another "hip" catchphrase, I'm going to rip my own ear drums out) and just overall poor gameplay. ONLY play this if;
A. You're dumb.
B. You don't have a 360 and haven't yet played the infinitely superior Shadow Complex
C. You're dumb.

Heh, I liked the game aside from some of the acting during the cutscens and voice acting, still only on the fourth level though.

Yeah it's only the first episode or some such, I found out about that afterwards but the Steam listings do cover two episodes so I'm unsure how it'll continue and what's in this first episode.
Game is simple of course and all that Sabin said is very much accurate, the voice acting and character acting during the cutscenes is very trying or how to describe it and can quickly get on peoples nerves, gameplay is nice and though it tries to mask the visuals a bit they're somewhat dated and low-budget.
Combat and exploration is a bit more diverse but takes time to get used to since you rarely attack directly but via a AI driven weapon so aiming is pretty wonky and the enemies mostly only win via numbers though exploration is often very rewarding and there's a lot to discover, current levels at least have been quite big but that could change on these more scripted sequences that are currently happening, some bonus stuff to unlock as well but very little that affects the game.
Overall though I enjoyed it and it was worth the download at least, low price as well but undecided about that and it wouldn't have worked as a average priced title or even expansion pack priced but that's mostly just my opinion, some will hate the game for the above reasons and somewhat silly (Can be both good and bad.) cartoon like style.
I think it's a indie game though and not very big budget so I'm rather forgiving, who knows how the company or people behind it will do in the future.
(Minecraft for example is taking off extremely well, Evochron is doing OK but has a few bugs with the Windows version in particular and so on.)
EDIT: I do enjoy anime though so that might also be part of it, nothing of that silly or cute style though but darker and more realistic stuff like Berserk or over the top actions like Gorky, Crying Freeman, Riki Oh and so on.
(Horror can be nice as well but it's mostly about extreme gore and some eastern influences like scary possessed children isn't my thing, Korean can also be interesting with a variety of odd stuff like the one where shit is a million dollar business during a post apocalyptic future or some other strange stuff with equally weird names.)

Actually, that is a very good point. I'd completely forgotten it was an indie studio making this, which I guess can be a forgiving point. The idea is fine, much like Shadow Complex, and maybe if I hadn't played SC I would enjoy this a bit more. Sadly for this game, I *have* played Shadow Complex and it was quite simply the very best Metroidvania clone I've played in recent memory. Gorgeous visuals, amazing gameplay, expertly-made audio.. and it didn't "feel" cheap in comparison to anything else.

a Japan Anime Platformer with a interesting story , good presentation and gags taken right from the anime Slayers , plus Krome made it the makers of "Ty the Tasmanian Tiger" you can even play as Ty if you pick up 30 parrots...also loved the music
If you liked , remake of Rocket Knight (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y0Mt-bftbPY)you will like this game
too bad :
A: its only 4h long
B: its a episodic game
C: sabin1981 has no taste

sabin1981 wrote: | | really you have no taste , but then again when I lived some time ago in Japan , they had games that where exactly like that... games with those humoristic scenes like those in Blade Kitten are a normality back there ... the only strange thing is , its like the target audience for this game are Japanese\European people but not American derps
summary : I play Japan games and this game is stylized like one of those with music, gags, story and gameplay .... so if someone like those games he will like this one

I honestly wouldn't have been surprised if she said "You are my BFF!" or some other such teen girl crap.

The game is fun enough imo. The only drawback is a 30fps cap because of physics engine which is lame... i hope they'll fix that so it'd be fluidly at 60fps.

it's just your typical, average scantily-clad cat/girl (loli age optional) chimera that's featured in about a third of today's anime and JRPGs nowadays, so get over it. and no, fapping to it isn't mandatory while playing the game.

you all are right, it's just an indie game. No way to compare with Lara Croft or Borderlands, of course. and IGN note of 5/10 was not wrong at all.

the game saves when you arrive at a red circle, like a red serpent...you will see the sign of saving then at the lower right corner. You can then go back to the game from this point.
