Not sure I need spoilers for this but have two questions:
1) What was causing all those tremors as the suicide airliner was barreling down on the President's party? Up-wind, no tremor would ever be created if an standard passenger airliner was heading to the target -- it would just be without warning except perhaps for the oncoming jet sound. I assume it was to do with the portal powering up.
2) Why the hell did the President's security teams not immediately shuttle the Prez and his family out of there asap? They all just stood there as if waiting for the airliner to just crash right into them. No one should have waited around.. no pause.. just get the f**k outta there without looking at the aircraft.
Yep.. waiting on EP2.. this show is becoming the anti/bizarr-o LOST which is refreshing. Little surprised how fast everything is transpiring though. LOST went at a snail's pace but EVENT seems to be in Fast-Forward.

yeh what really bothered me was the fact that no one moved :S
Totally idiotic. Other than that Id watch that show just to get to know whats going on there really.
Im a sucker for secrety things, too bad that Lost didnt deliver in the end. Hopefully this will.

Well thats assuming the "rip" was pre-activated in-front of the path of the airliner AS IF they knew where it would be heading towards the party then, YES.. I can buy that.

EP2 is out much better than the first but still some annoying flashbacks i guess they will al be out of the way soon..
hopefully this doesnt drag on for dozeons of series ans get shit like lost did

2. ep definitely picked up, the flashes seemed much less annoying this time around and answers where given.
though that whole shaun and whats-her-name in the pool was just torture.
It moved away from last big time and is starting to feel like its own show.

The writers of this show have no idea about continuity. At the end of episode 2 the camera peers over a hill to show the crashed plane was just around the corner, and would be visible just a little further down the road. Episode 3 - they drive down said road, but no reference is made to the fact that in the previous episode the plane was right there.
The RV out of fucking nowhere was lame as well.

Yup, my sentiments exactly. In the FIRST episode, when the security operatives were trying to hustle the President out of the building and into the car, the first time you see this; he gets into the car with his wife and child *THEN* they hear the roaring of the plane and he turns to see it. Well the second time you see this scene, he's standing up - away from the car - and turns to see the plane coming in.
I was like "WTF? Continuity much?"

I've just started watching Ep3 and IMMEDIATELY you see some pretty fucking severe continuity errors, namely; that damned RV. WHAT THE HELL? That DID NOT HAPPEN at the end of Ep2. Ep2 ends with the FBI agents not believing him, turning round, and DRIVING AWAY. In this nonsense, they GO to turn around - get halfway through the 180 and suddenly get smashed by that RV?
Then, after the crash, they drive DOWN the road (towards where you could clearly see the plane behind the rise) and what do you see? No plane. Wonderful!
"You make a noise and I'll kill you" annoys the shit out of me as well. Yeah, because if the captive makes a noise and the cop draws his gun to shove it in the kidnapper's face, she'll REALLY have time to whip round and kill her victim, honest! Then, of course, when she tries to BRIBE the cop - he doesn't instantly pull his gun out and tell her to GTFO of the van. FUCK. OFF.
This is just absolutely ridiculous. Quite easily the very worst show I've ever seen for nonsense continuity. What the hell is happening during filming of each ep? It's like each script-writer is fired after one episode, along with 90% of the rest of the crew, and they all magically "forget" what it was they filmed an hour ago! I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the President is wearing his suit in one frame and the next frame shows him wearing a fucking clown outfit  Not to mention that Sean could just climb out of the back of the car and then waltz into FBI HQ, stroll through the place, manage to find the server room (lol...) without ever having known the layout, and then access the FBI database. All without being seen even once? "Wait, my computer is missing! ZOMG! He's here! He planned this so meticulously so he could access the INTRANET!"
Urgh. Ridiculous show is ridiculous. I can't believe they cancelled FlashForward for this drivel. NBC really are completely fucking clueless.

Oh and another thing. It could quite possibly be something we've not yet seen in the hundred and two flashbacks so far, though more probably it's just - yet another - gaping plothole... BUT! How in the hell did Sean Walker even know his girlfriend's dad was the pilot of the plane in the first place? Or how did he know he planned an assassination attempt?
Also it's a niggly thing, but why is it whenever someone has typed Sean's name into a computer, they ALWAYS instantly type S E A N? They don't ask him for the spelling, which by itself is strange since the most common spelling (out of FIVE generic) is actually Shaun. I know it's only a silly little gripe, but it's the attention to details that matter.

afaik Sean is the more common in american than Shaun.
Anyways. Halfway through ep2 and sorry, doesn't flash me at all. I suppose I give this till episode 5 and if it doesn't catch me till then I'm gonna abandon it.
So they canceled Flash Forward for The Event?
Meh. Replace a show I didn't watch with a show I'm probably not gonna watch.
If this keeps going like this and if The Boardwalk Empire keeps it's current form the "new and awesome Tv season" isn't gonna be all that new and awesome :/
