weird.... cant u guys alt tab and go back to the game using enbseries???? i cant, the game stays black screen, but the game is playing.

I've noticed that you can alt-tab back and forth correctly only from some particular menus. For example, alt-tab in the paddock will lock-up, alt-tab from the paddock's pause menu (Esc) will work.
Being unable to properly alt-tab can be really frustrating, especially since there's no goddamn option to save during a race.
I mean, did they really think everyone will keep the game open for a session long enough to complete an 100% length race?

Alt tabbing works fine here on ATI, you can always hit Alt+Enter to quickly switch to windowed mode.

so guys, i've never monitored a game from release to its much needed patch before, im wondering how much time does it take to release a patch?

A month with Codemasters  They might do a critical errors patch in a week, but they also like to keep patch numbers minimal, with all the Microsoft/Sony QA thing that will take a week with every patch. (PC beta patch they'd probably have done already, but releasing it would piss of console users. They already cried in the forums when GRiD got one and more features)
Malaysia sure was fun track to drive, took whole practice hour to find good setup, but with it 7th and 8th in the race. One spin and one gravel, my best by far. McLaren "f-duct" sure was a biatch. Passed Hamilton twice on corners and he came back on straights like a rocket.
And I'll join with the rest that there is no slipstream in this game. No need to have any extra on top gear, as you can't go faster even if there is 5 cars right in front of you. I mean even mostly arcade NFS games (before Shift) have had slipstream.
Well something nice for the bad too. I REALLY like the predefined setup limits. Like they said on interview, real teams already have basic setups for each track, they don't start from clean table. So your setup will never be totally off. Forgot about that and was wondering in the beginning how come same engineer suggestion fits so well to another track too
For the ENB, quite nice, but grays (all pitbox menus) turn to blue, which I don't like. Got to try if I can tune the settings a bit. A bit less saturation too while at it.

Well it's still a bit blue, but fixed the saturation and bit of the over brightness. With these settings the standings page (with flags) is very close to original, but without the tint. Default burns whites and is too colorful. Give 'em a whirl if you like.

I don't really get it. In career mode, I enabled customized difficulty: full damage/tyre and fuel simulation and AI level set to intermediate.
So basically I just made it more realistic compared to Intermediate difficulty, the AI is not supposed to be better, right ?
Well now it's like my car is real slow. Even my crappy teammate is faster than me. What's going on ?

^^ Fuel simulation is bugged, only affects player car. Turn it off, if you run long races.

Overall, game is enjoyable but it's far from being perfect. For instance in Monte Carlo I'm banging on the rails like a bumpercar with full damage and my car is still intact (apart from the wing-flap).

Runs like shit here, no matter what setting i play it at Low/high it never exceeds 20/25 frame's.
And this just on a empty track...

The menus don't make any sense, is 'grand prix' supposed to be like a 'quick race'? And your career mode/racing is inside the trailer behind the bitch with the glasses?

Grand Prix is a quick race yeah, you can race as any of the official drivers using that.
Career race is in the trailer.

Lies. You CAN play online. Get tunngle, get teknogods beta 17. Fire up tunngle, fire up helper, click auto mode CLIENT, fire up game, go to LAN, press F12, join any game, press F12 again, wait for game to start, win.

Online isn't the same as LAN with Tunngle or similar. You can do that with all the games that support LAN, that's not what the question was about.

Yep you should, from same button than changes wing setting while driving. Don't know what default is, as it's still in d-pad of my xbox360 controller.

You know that LAN is online right? And the only difference is that in LAN you play directly with someone, but if you find the game rooms than it becomes same as online right? So, tell me, whats the difference? I played in a room with 8 RANDOM people, playing a race, joined normally, so...what is online then if this is "LAN mode"? Any difference? I dont think so.
Basically you want to go online, find games, join and play with random people? If yes, then online works. If no, then online still works. You want to play directly with friend via "LAN"? If yes, again, it works. So if you ask me, multiplayer is fully functional.

Nice track Shanghai is, wish I'd had a longer than 20% race. Just started to rain, would have been fun for another 10 laps.
But AI cheats in pitstops, well coming to pits. Really tight that pit entrance and not wanting to do "Hamiltons" there. So I brake for the corner, get illegal blocking message and AI ghosts through my car like a rocket. No way could it be possible to drive in so fast. Had it happen in practice and in race, luckily only warning as I took relaxed rules for just this sort of bugs.

Nope, it's Local Area Network.
Haven't played this online, don't know, but Leaderboards at least is missing.
Dirt 2 had community events, as is try to get fastest time on some track/car combo and some prices to go with 'em. GRiD had play with developers race that was lots of fun, if F1 will have same thing, you think they are going to be in your version of online.
But I'll leave it at that, you're obviously after a fight
