Especially on the PS3 which has quite simply the most horrific triggers I've ever felt. They're curled under the controller and then smoothed over, making it almost impossible for your to keep a solid grip on either of them for any prolonged amount of time.

I bought these to help combat that;

Well from what I know, there actually is a great number of PC USB joypads that work on the PS3 when you connect them. A lot just say "unknown USB device" but the rest seem to work just fine according to what I can find out. It would be pretty amazing if someone figured out a way to use the 360 one too Laughing

Personally, I'm more interested in PS3on360 Wink The PS3 controller is, to me, infinitely better than the 360 one (triggers aside)

I disagree. I hate the ps3 controller - so much more uncomfortable than the X360 one.

Just my opinion, of course!

It's the ages old battle, my friend Very Happy I've always been partial to the feel/weight of the PS controllers, right from the PS1, but what absolutely clinches it for me against the vile 360 controller? D-PAD! Holy Christ the 360 has a terribad D-PAD. Trying to play fighting games on that horrid thing is an exercise in frustration.

I can't remember the last time I used the d-pad on any controller, but then I don't play fighting games I guess.

Hey guys,

I've been reading up on this stuff quite a bit today.

I have rooted my droid incredible and put the newest version of the sploit from PS Freedom on there.

I grabbed the 3.41 update because i'm not sure if i'm even that current. I'm hoping i'm not so i still have other OS support. (Although, I'm not sure psfreedom has added support for the older FW's yet)

Is there anything else I need to know?

 Spoiler:

Is there anything crucial that i'm missing?

Just buy a USB board or one of those sticks everyone is talking about a whole lot better compared to wait for something that might never come

Stop being so defeatist, Timmy. Things will either work out, or they won't, but there's no point being defeatist about it. Even I've learned to be hopeful ^_^

I've installed the new Hermes and Open Manager 1.1. Everything seems to be working fine and can play games without using an original disc. Street Fighter still won't sync with the pad though, oh well.

Has anyone else got this to work properly yet?

The FTP info should be in the readme of OP 1.13. As for the IP, I guess it doesn't display it yet (just like Blackb0x FTP didn't display it in 1.0 either) so you'd have to manually set one in PS3 network config, or even just check the network status (same place) to see it.

Just to confirm...

Is it correct I need to use the psgroove usb stick every time I turn on the console again to make it go into debug mode?
And so I need to disconnect all USB devices every time and cold boot it and press the eject button after turning on?

That's some fairly annoying stuff you need to do there

Yes, you need to make sure the stick is inserted every time you turn it on (just never take it out, that's easier Razz) and even though "everyone" was saying you can't have other USB devices inserted at the same time, it's not the case for me. I've always got my USB external HDD connected and it still goes through the JB exploit just fine.

PSGroove and PSFreedom are the software which you flash onto hardware such as PS3Key/PSBreak/Minimus/Maximus, etc etc.
