I think it's a matter of preferences, personally I can't stand surgery while I'm quite open minded when it comes to piercings/tattoos (without exaggerating though)

Yeah, both alter the body but to me cosmetic surgery alters the body to be something it isn't in it's natural form (boobs - which I'm ok with if it's not overdone, lips - which looks ridiculous most of the time etc.) and then there's piercings/tattoos with don't try to "change" the body but more like, "enhance" maybe?
anyways I agree with what ixigia said (although I'm not quite as strict about surgery - like I said, if it's not overdone I'm cool with it).
