Uh I guess I'll have to lower my expectations. I played the first level and everything seems to be worse than Heavenly Sword. Even the graphics! Normally you would expect a developer to get better with each game. :-/

I just tried it,I never played Heavenly Sword..but this game is OK,I love the setting, colors and animations..combat system is not that great but it's enough to be playable, platforming is very automatic..didn't like that.Overall I think it's worth to beat it one time..at least for me.Im on chapter 3..

Really can't see where the comparison with HS comes from. The games are totally different. HS had so much stuff including slo-mo bow shooting etc and Enslaved is just another game in the vein of 'one-button gameplay' (previously seen on Prince of Persia the cel-shaded one and Bayonetta on easy difficulty I think).
Today I didn't even need to use my AK. I gotta say it was a good day. (c) - Ice Cube

Yeah this game is not too challenging, what keeps me playing though is the art style and the characters; their animation in cut-scenes is really great and I find myself playing just to see the next cut-scene.

Yep. Prince of persia comes to mind. That game was also very sweet to look at. But what the fuck is wrong with developers these days? The climbing is so dumb down it´s more of a chore now. Not only do ojects that are climbable have magic paint on them, the character seems to have some kind of magnetic connection love affair with them.
Will absorb setting for an hour or two though.

How do you get the woman to move, it says press LB but all it does is focus on her but she won't move at all.

So far am at Chapter 4 and the game is alright, seems to have a lot of the "scan the area" and "sneak by or beat up the mechs" after scanning.
The bad: part is the environment while really nice, seems to be somewhat repetitive, maybe I'm just not one for the jungle/rocks/rubles/green environment, it will probably get better. The "platforming" isn't actually there, I mean, if you've ever played the cel-shaded prince of persia remake, and how a lot of what you did was automated and wasn't really about timing or platform jumping, because you can't "mis-jump" and the character will NOT jump to his death and only jump or wall jump or even jump from ledge to ledge, if he's guaranteed to grab/land on something, this makes the game easier, but also makes it feel hella automated and you end up basically tapping A button while holding left and your character will run, roll, jump, swing, scale at neck break speed with very minimal effort on your part.
The good: there are some sequences in the game that are fantastic, they are a rush, when you're being chased by a large razy monster mech/robot and you have to haul ass, or when you're on a slave ship that's on it's way down and you have to run across as it's falling apart and you can see the land and various buildings of downtown new york, closing in as you decedent to your death. These parts aren't as common as I'd like them to be, but they are memorable and very well done. The story while it's not going to blow you away, is still better the most games and somewhat original to what it's trying to convey.
I think it's worth a play through, I'll probably finish it. I think the story and the journey is really nice, but the game and gameplay is... well, it does the job.

Does anyone have a problem with this game on the part with the fish tank, the mech runs at me but eventually it runs into a walk and carries on running into the wall and I cannot get it to stop?.

keep hitting the mech until it goes in a rage(red) then put the statue in between you & the mech then taunt it,it will hit the statue 3 times to defeat it

Thanks i'll do that, I still think theres a bug with it though, it runs at you and if your by a wall it just carries on running.

had no such issues. it correctly ran right into the wall for me (multiple times), triggering an event.

Just completed it and I enjoyed it quite a bit.
While the gameplay is pretty simple (can't say I like the on-rails platforming at all), the story, characters and environments make it worth playing. Obviously the voice acting and facial animations are especially good.
I'd probably give it maybe an 8.5/10 because it could have been better but it was a very enjoyable experience and a game nowadays is more than just the gameplay. There's other things to consider and the game makes up for it's simple gameplay with it's other aspects in my opinion.

Didn't liked the first chapters (2-4), but loved the last ones. Toward the end it gets a lot better.

I really liked this game. I loved the story and the characters.
I really can't find good story driven games nowadays. This one is far from perfect, but well above todays story standards. The story itself doesn't seem that special when you think about it, but they way it is told, and the characters make it so.
