I have to second the opinions on here, this is a GREAT game! AAA in my opinion. The flaws that are there don't distract from the experience at all! I mean they are so minor that complaining about them seems unfair because there is so much greatness in this game! Finally another good Action Adventure game!

I don't know which is better, and to be honest I don't care. What I know is that, at least for the x360 standards, the game is gorgeous. And I'm not only talking about texturres and shaders, but mainly of the overall "feel" of the enviroment. Every level has a "hand crafted" feel about it, every twisted root of old trees and every half-buried ancient statue feel "natural", and not an artificial succession of rooms and corridors that are there just for the player's convenience.
Only complaint: a bit of Anti Aliasing would have done wonders, as it is there are a lot of jagged edges but I guess the 360 is already at it's limits running the game as it does now.

I'll take any version I can get my hands on ^_^ The only reason I'm rooting for the PS3 version is because I'll just be able to transfer directly to HDD and play, heh. If I had any Verbs left, I'd already be playing on the 360.

Final boss...
First i was like, Yeah DUH!!!
Then i was like, Okay?
And when he fight started i was like WTF?!!? 
But... didn't beat him yet, reason for that?
Sleepy, gonna do it tomorrow after work 
For all the people playing this i'll help you with this boss an little.
Don't worry no names, or spoilers in the spoiler tag that would reveal anything off the story whatsoever.
It's just tacttics for the last boss.
 Spoiler: | Somewhere near the end, you are going to fight someone, who will teach you how to use and counter with light and dark magic.
This is NEEDED! @ the last boss, so really focus on that fight, learn it, master it, and then the last boss won't be so hard

| Spoiler: | Sorry for my english. You have to advance slashing through the spikes and once the gate is closed, you have to use your "evil force" and throw a knive explosive to the button, and the gate will open! |

Just finished the game. The last two chapters are awesome.

Not from personal experience, but it was mentioned in a gamespot review (video review)
P.S - I don't own a PS3. Am a 360 user, i just figured there was some truth to it, seeing as not only did Konami decided to fuck around and make it two dvds, so perhaps they favored the ps3 version just the same in optimization department.
In any case, this board is far too mature to have a console war bickering, I don't think this is your run of the mill videogame board where that kind of conversation is necessary, my statement was more of an anti Konami statement than an anti-360 pro-ps3 version, lol, sorry, I didn't meant for it to come off as it did, I know people around here are above that.

Same here, usually a game below 80 isn't a lot of fun for me, but this here is an exception, If I didn't know yet what gamespot / IGN / GT gave it, based on the first 3 Chapters I would bet on around 90%. Your explanation for this seems reasonable, because it's not classic castlevania but still, I just can't see what you could really dislike in this game, everything is so much fun, platforming, combat, boss battles....
If you didn't play it yet, get on it! You will love it!
