I wonder if the tree mechanics will change along with the torch. Perhaps he'll make it so sunlight is required. Or at least the lantern. It'll certainly be interesting to see how things progress

in town I think it's 11x11 and i can't remember how deep, once you go so deep it's all fair game. That's why I live on the cliff

as of now you need sunlight to grow trees, IE you can't do it underground
underground tree farms work.
My brilliant giant above ground self grown treehouse sadly doesn't.
The trees just don't grow how I want them too (if they grow at all :/ )
Somebody should really update the wiki article on trees properly.

the tree farm in Inz's link has skylights so it gets sunlight. But I've heard of people growing them underground with torchlight. Could have been BS though.
Ah you're right, it does, didn't bother to look at all the pictures. Does the depth come into play at all, or could you grow trees at bedrock level as long as there's a direct hole to above ground?

actually in that thread there are guys with treefarms that have no direct sunlight - only torches. And one guy that grows his down at the bedrock level with no sunlight but with holes to the void instead.
Does anyone know how to setup a server that works with a cracked version of Minecraft? Me and my friend wanna try it out, but we keep failing.
It would help if you could at least tell us what is wrong, what error you are getting, etc.....
Well, simply put we don't know how to properly do it, in order for a non legit copy to work. We setup the server.properties and all, but it's either we can't connect or it says Premium Users only or something. I don't have a router, so I tried to host, I can connect fine to the server but he can't. He just gets either time out or unknown host(something like that).
After playing the singleplayer mode for some hours, i must admit im hooked to it.
Please leave me a message regarding the Nforce server, I'd like to try it out.
And gain some imagination from you guys.
