Ok so is this supposed to be a completely new game worth trying if you love rally games or it's simply just another cheap remake like xpand rally where they released nearly the same game under different names 20 times?!

Completely new game but still not good. It doesn't feel like rally. Not even like a racing game. I don't know how to describe this games controls. It's like driving on rancid butter :/

The game deserves to be tried (it has the official WRC license afterall), but like any other title from Milestone, it lacks the polish to provide a rewarding experience.
The gameplay is a mixture between arcade and simulation, and overall it's eons far from the 100% simulative titles like Richard Burns Rally, while the graphics are rather forgettable as well as the sound effects.

mmmmm Richard Burns Rally....The only racing game that had me on the edge of my seat every time i sped past 50MPH....only because each wreck was BRUTAL, and VERY realistic....

sadly that's all it has |
After the disappointing V8 Supercars and SBK X, I hoped that the devs had learnt something from their past errors. Unfortunately it didn't happen

Well, to me, it's deffinitely more sim than arcade.
And i must say, sound is awful. Engine sounds so weak, like i'm driving a prius or something. Graphics are fine, for my taste. But it could be a lot better. Drove for about 10-15 minutes, and i give it 5/10. But there is no patch or mod to fix the bad things, shame.

Doesn't need a nodvd
I wonder is it the fully retail version
Wheels are now in the readme
IMPORTANT
"Please also make sure that in the steering wheel properties panel
the pedals are set to operate in combination."
Cockpit view has no sense of speed
Hood view much better
FFB is all about grip of all wheels by angle of car to direction traveling and suspension(but non tarmac tracks seem a bit to smooth) not the front wheels attached to the steering whee).
should be potholes and ruts on these stages.
big difference between front and rear wheel cars ffb(dont like the rear that much)
no editable files without decoding the format
lots of pop in textures(trees and srubs mainly) in the distance
landing from jumps ffb i like
60fps with everything on max at 1900x1200 is eating 80% of my 480
If you are looking for RBR 2 forget it
if you want to pass an hour worth the download to test
thats my 15 min review.
Ill keep it installed for a while to see if it gets better or worse
Editing ,
you do not have to unlock cars in pick a rally mode so its worth trying out for that alone
also i increased my wheel rotation ,that has helped with the rear wheel drive cars.
Cant find a ffb adjustment within the game ??

I've just tried the full game and lord it was bad, very bad.
The handling feels slow, unresponsive and unrealistic even at the highest level of " " simulation " ", the stages are overall poorly done (both graphically and technically wise), the roads are two times wider than the real ones in order to simplify the driving sessions, the sound effects are absolutely horrible, sampled at low quality and often even unappropriate and the graphics, well the graphics are in line with the entire value of this title: completely mediocre. Shiftedeled at the speed of light.

ok i managed to get it working by installing another drive emulator (virtual clonedrive).
i like this game a lot more than Dirt2, feels like one of those Colin Mcrae games such as CMR2005, also the graphics are great, just make sure you disable Depth Of Field and Motion blur, no performance problem here.
never heard of this game before and it turned out to be a great game, nice surprise.

SBK X wasn't that bad... Not good, but not bad. Mediocre, I guess. But this is horrible! They should stick to motorcycles. Maybe with SBK XXX they'll make it great! ;lol:

Yes SBK X is probably their best game so far. It had tons of flaws and a terrible AI , but at least the driving model was rather enjoyable, while this WRC is easily one of the worst rally games that I've ever played
Mortibus wrote: | no wonder they didn't go bankrupt yet |
Because apart from the official licenses, their costs are almost equal to zero
Seriously, Milestone created its in-house "nextgen" engine in 2008 and since then every single game released has used it (SBK08, SBK09, SBKX, V8 Superstars, V8 Superstars Next Challenge and WRC 2010) . Notice that the engine was developed for a motorcycle game and then adapted for...everything with minor adjustments

While at main menu, press Esc to return to that "press enter" screen. And then, press Alt+F4
