The only reason I'm even bothering with v3 or OBM is simply because it DOES fix certain games. Games that used to have controller sync issues (NBA, F1, SF4/SSF4) all work now... and, most importantly for me, since OBM 1.13 they have now fixed White Knight Chronicles.

Scarily enough, I actually DO sleep! Generally 8-9hrs a day like regular folk. I think the reason why it looks like I'm online all the time is because my sleep patterns are staggered... some days I'm in bed for 12am, others it's more like 6am >_> As for being a mod? HELL NO. Been there, done that, was a mod on 'Noid for three years -- never again. Too much stress, too much responsibility, too many people hating your guts when you have to moderate them (though people still hate my guts even now when I'm not a mod  )

BAH HUMBUG! That HEX hasn't got the LEDs done properly  Power up; Blue/Green/Red are on... JB process starts and it's just Blue... process finishes and it's Red+Green left. Ew. It was *supposed* to be;
RGB during power on, G+R during activation, Blue when it's active.

Yep, I was saying that about my Minimus, Sabin. Got two lights on now, red and green. Doesn't bother me much, as long as the games work then it can flash pink lights and I wouldn't be bothered.

Ok. Test 1, replacing music. After that, if it works, I'll "install" DaRNified UI, the full UI replacement and see if it works. Wish me luck

Sad face. It didn't work, even changing just the MAINTITLE.mp3 didn't work. When it gets to the title screen it's silent.. no audio playing at all.

Scratch that! WORKS PERFECTLY!! The only reason it wasn't playing was because of, and this is Sony's anal nonsense, CAPITALS! I had MAINTITLE.mp3, whereas the original PS3 file was MAINTITLE.MP3 Renamed the extension into capitals and it works just fine 
Now it's time to "install" DaRNified UI.

New PS3 firmware to be hacked by October 20th, PSJailbreak update incoming

I got both ready... just waiting for XBMC to show up on one of them...

Everyday I use my OLD XBOX..with XBMC. Everything I download is in XVID format and watch in 720 resoliton (component). Most used console I have ever owned! I barely played any games on it - just use it purely for movies/tv and internet streaming.

I still have two xbox's modded. I never use them anymore but man what a fantastic console!
I really hope they are able to make something as good or better for the ps3!

Think they mean support for the newly hacked 3.05 and 3.15 firmwares rather than the 3.42/3.50 firmwares, Doubt they will ever be hacked, only thing that may be possible is a future downgrader. probably seperate dummy flash or something similar

I'm about to flash my Minimus and then install OBM 1.16 (or whatever it's on now) Maybe even go for that "Pretty Manager R4" - since it's based off Hermes_v3 and has MUCH better UI, including in-app FTP support. I'm still waiting for ANY app that can tell you the size of folders though
