I cannot install the game I get this:
---------------------------
LOST PLANET 2 - InstallShield Wizard
---------------------------
The files for installation requirement DirectX_Jun2010 could not be found. The installation will now stop. This is probably due to a failed, or canceled download.

I have the latest DirectX tho...

Damn shame I was lookin forward to this game since lost planet revealed itself to be a pretty good game.
Normally i'd check it out anyhow esp knowing our prediliction for sledging OK games.
But the collection of sociopaths and greedheads that control the privatised former telecommunications monopoly where I live have decided to wring every last cent outta one of their few remaining areas of market dominance. They own the lease on 90% of the only submarine cable into here, now they drag out data caps. My miserable 80 gigs /month doesn't go far and 12 gigs (can be much more if download is inefficient the pr1cks deduct so-called upload traffic ie yer machine sayin "yeah we got that frame, next please" from 'allocation' as well).
Judging by what's been said here this ting just aint worth the bandwidth - co-op mode is ok for an occasional laugh, but imo is no way to play an entire game.
- maybe Ill re consider if I come in under 80 fer the month

I got it to start installing by running lost planet 2.msi instead of setup.exe but then in the middle it asks me to insert disc 2? There is only one iso? So confused.

Played the game and for the most part I had no idea what the fuck is going on. Lights all around me, strange sounds didn't like it very much. I'll try co-op, not playing this shit alone.

I kinda mentioned it on the previous page, open Setup.ini and remove the two Prerequisitite lines at the bottom for DirectX and LIVE then run Setup.exe, I did it to get rid of those as I already have the latest versions installed so if you don't then download those manually afterwards. Smile

Bah it tells me its read only when I try and remove the lines. I then right click setup.ini to remove the check mark from read-only and then it tells me an error occurred applying attributes to the file Access is denied.

Is the download (I assume it's torrents if it's that error.) still active, stop it (Momentarily) and then try it, this might be the cause for the other issues as well if the client locks the files like that.
(Keep a backup of the original file though as not to invalidate the data sent.)

Alternatively it might be in some restricted part of Windows folder location if UAC is enabled so save it as a copy then remove the original file and replace it with the copy.

No it's not active. I can edit the file fine when I put it on desktop but not when its inside the iso. I tried replace it but it says no space. UAC is disabled.

Sounds like you are trying to edit setup.ini inside the iso while it's mounted with daemon tools....You can't edit anything that's on a dvd (windows sees it as a physical dvd) Laughing

You will need to extract everything on the iso to a folder somewhere then do the editing and installation.

meh, don't use torrents anymore, IMO. Use Rapidshare or Fileserver, that's far better and...less risky when pirating.

According to this walkthrough, there are six main Episodes, each of them divided in multiple missions

I know that the Trivium release isn't a scene release, but is it working without issues?

After choosing the campaign submenu, pick up the 'create a game' option, adjust your most preferred settings and you are ready to go.
