Despite the shear awesomeness of the trailer, I never got the 'vibe' from this stories :\
I mean his powers are godlike

Sometimes being godlike can be a lot of fun. Is it better to be the wimpy shepherd or some shit like that, untill you become godlike?

Well not about the powers, it's just, if those powers were known to Jedi before why didn't they use them? It messes up the before and after stories a bit...

Yes. I like that progression. A nobody with no powers, is thrust into the heat of the battle, where, through my input, he slowly turns into a godlike hero or a villain, depending on my mood. It's been done to death, but I like it.
And I don't know if you've noticed, but in the video, Starkiller is swinging a muthafucking tie fighter like it's made of cotton candy. That's just wrong.

Precisely!!
On the one hand you have Jedi that are supposed to be very strong (Kenobi) and even they are struggling with force push/pull, and Starkiller can bring down a battlecruiser

So you guys really care about the restrictions put by Lucas and co in the SW universe? This game is a simple action game, with minimal lore behind it. I see it more as a deviation from the standard, done to death, SW universe.

Too bad the saber combat will still be complete shit..
Yeah I know it's "FORCE Unleashed" but that doesn't mean they have to turn the saber combat into a mediocre action game.
Oh well all the kids will cum to it again "OH MY GOD YOU CAN LIEK USE ALL TEH POWARZ AND JUST UNLOCKED PRE-DETERMINED 4 STRIKE COMBO HELL YEAH! I SO BADASS!"
I mean I'm sure I'll still enjoy the game(unless we get another shitty ass port) but not as much as I would if they actually put some thought into the combat making it more like JA.

Well sure, I mean having Starkiller in the Star Wars saga( at least at this specific timeframe) is like having a F-18 in World War I.
He's too strong. And like djaoni pointed out, the saber combat is crap. The lightsaber is the Jedi's primary weapon, not the force.

So anyone who is adept in using the force is a jedi and needs to use a lightsaber?
I do agree the lightsaber combat is average at best.

Not that he needs to, but being an adept in using the force doesn't make you a jedi master.
Training does. And most of jedi training consists of lightsaber training.
The fact that Starkiller is pulling a cruiser hundreds of miles away when Luke Skywalker had trouble pulling a x-wing from few feet away is laughable.
Not to mention that it's a shitload more fun to cut a dark jedi into pieces jedi outcast style, then with a derpified single button force lightning spamming frenzy.

TFU (HnS) will never be like JK(TPS/Action). In TFU lightsabre fights are about nothing more than performing particular combos. Indeed that sucks but there's nothing you can do about it. The game is quite console orientated. End of story. Anyway, the primary weapon of a Jedi is the Force. Jedis possess sth that other people do not. That's the very reason why they are Jedis. They should avoid conflicts and pursue peace. Lightsabre should be their last resort. Well at least that's Yoda's point of view. Hyping the Force a lot in order to fascinate people is Lucas Arts' point of view.

Console demo impressions: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=23806440&postcount=45
Quote: | + Great graphics, much better than the first
+ Game is very impressive cinematically
+ Force Fury is great but
- Force powers are notably toned down during normal play to make Force Fury seem more "awesome"
- Combo system is non existant, it feels like >_>
- Annoying QTEs are back =(
? Mind Trick is a cool new addition, but feel like it lacks pratical application |
Pretty much what I expected, better graphics same shit.
TWIN PEAKS is "something of a miracle."
"...like nothing else on television."
"a phenomenon."
"A tangled tale of sex, violence, power, junk food..."

It's FU with updated graphics, nothing more or less. The first was enjoyable but nothing special, the sequel will be the same. The only major change is that it'll be availabe on the PC from day one now too.

C'mon, how could you NOT expect a milk-the-franchise-by-a-quick-sequel? |
I know..sometimes I'm too naive, but since I haven't followed the thread I expected a slightly deeper gameplay if compared to the first fun but extremely linear TFU. Well not a big deal, isn't it free afterall?
