Honestly I don't know how you can say that "recompiling layer 1" in ISObuster and burning it is going to work. You cant just ignore the second layer and then expect the thing to not crash at some point.
The game is definitely full of prerendered movies. Don't say "it must have dummy files because mgs2 and mgs3 have more movies" because the MGS games use the in-game engine for it's cutscenes. Big difference.
There will probably be a dvd5 release soon enough with downsampled movies. Since a straight dvd9 burn of this release seems to be able to go pretty far (although apparently crashing at a specific point), that would suggest it doesn't have all kinds of nasty media checks and such like GT4.

I admit you are wrong, however it stays fucked up if groups release shit on your precious ftp affiliates first, that don't work properly. What the fuck does a non-nuked-non-working 8 gig file floating like crap on a release group ftp server?
I say goddamn what a fucking morbide crap Sony pulled off with us, it's almost so funny that you take of your righ ball with a spoon. First we get messiahs or whatever the fuck modchip you have, and after 4/5 years of succesful leeching/pirating they suddenly get the great fucking idea to fuck up the entire scene with a simple not to rip/burn OTP disc. I say fuck that!

Well, I get all my shit out of newsgroup, they are faster then you think these days. Plus I have full speed downloads instead of the crappy lowspeed 0day ftp's. Bin there dude, I was a member of an oday, but they are way too expensive.

hmm, hope this works, now which version to dload, this or the one that guy is testing out.....
well this is a group release which means it ll be faster to dload,
on the other hand that guy said he d fully test it, so with his release i can be 100% sure if it works or not.
A FRIGGIN DILEMMA!
hmm i ll be getting this genius one, that guy got himself drunk,
it seems it ll take a while, and the thing with bonus movies ripped
sounds about right.

i got this same release the 3.8gig by genius, but i can't take it off my dump until i get off work. can some one tell me if it works on hdloader. i wont be home for the next 6 hours.

Sorry, I was at school and didn't have time to respond. Ok, the deal is that the guy got it to work. But he is fuckin wasted right now (fuckin excuse) so he'll up it tomorrow. It shouldn't matter anymore though because I am pretty sure Genius released a copy that's like 3.8GB. That's what it says on Console News. Thanx.
