Don't count the minutes, mate! I perfectly understand your European excitement over this European RPG, but something tells me we're all in for a major disappointment.
That freaking demo was such a bad sign of our crappy 'streamlining', 'two-button-mashing' PC gaming times...
The way I see it, this is no Gothic game, but a rather streamlined twist into a simplified action-rpg with dialog 'choices' that resume into ONE line. Talk about the cRPG we all know and love and the reality nowadays. |
I think we already established ten or twelve pages behind that the game will be utter crap.  |
It wasn't news, just a reminder. 
Being an RPG games fan I am one of those that cannot wait to get it's hands on some new quality product in the cRPG style, especially an European title that is named "Gothic". But unfortunately, I don't think this is the case. |

It's russian, not german. It looks like the activation servers are online. Now we just need a crack or something, I guess, because the game requires a serial for activation.

Edit: Did you buy the german version or is that one on trackers too? I'm asking because I didn't see it anywhere.

I know the iso released is russian and not german, was just saying german one will activate soon as that one might also have english in it while the russian one doesn't.

theres a russian crack out.. its said to be possible to change all the text to english!
1. Installieren Sie das Spiel.
2. Exemplar Nr. 3 Dateien aus dem Ordner \ RepackToDemoLocale \ in den Stammordner des Spiels.
3. Führen Sie mit Datei-Ordner mit dem Spiel - start_repack.cmd. Warten Sie bis zum Ende. Es kann 5-10 Minuten.
4. Kopieren Sie alle Dateien aus dem Ordner \ demo_executables \ Ordner mit dem Spiel (mit Ersatz).
5. Spielen. Menü in Englisch, der Rest in russischer Sprache.

Apparently people have to download 144 MB after activating it. I wonder if thats a patch or just files that are missing on the dvd.

Those are the decrypted files needed to run the game, from what I understand.
Anyone tried the "demo-files" crack?

This is the real deal! I downloaded this off another site so dunno who gets credit for it so don't ask.... The installation is in Russian but the game can be played in English or Russian,to play in English make sure you add the Arcania.exe" language="en" in shortcut.
Currently there is no crack and release date to play is the 9th here in the US...dunno about other regions. |
