Stupid question of the day. What is a laser printer? Never really bothered with it. Do I still need to buy ink for it? O_o

All I ever needed for my student needs was laserjet 1100. 20$, and perfect quality. Irrelevant it's b&w as I only use it to print documents.

Refilling with large bottle of ink, that's the cheapest way indeed. I buy pre-filled cartridges though for my Pixma, €5,50 a piece.

Never had good luck with refills. Always resulted in poor printing. Now I use 'expired' ink from Ebay (but brand new in package) for fraction of cost. My HP6310 is networked so entire household uses just this one.

another one bites the dust, this time it was brother mfc-265w. It lasted rather short when one would compared it to my old Epson R200.
Unable to print4f. Google suggest to clean purge count which absolutely does nothing for since, since most likely this is a mechanical error eh.
fml.
Probably I'm going to have to buy new printer, I just hope this one will last more than 2 years

Sucks :<.. my pixma ip4500 broke three weeks ago and apparently it's unfixable as well. The finances are low so I'm surviving without the trusty printer at the moment, in the worst case scenario I can always go to my Uni and print something sneaky-mode
