I got the original PSbreak Driver 1.1 ... and a 1tb external hardrive
So now I have to and correct me if I'm wrong, or link me to a good noob step by step guide.
1. update my PS3 to 3.41 by thumbdrive
2. Format my external hard drive to Fat 32
3. transfer games from computer harddrive over to root of external hard drive
4. put the psbreak in my ps3 and everything should be self explanotory ?!?!
This is the most work I've ever had to do to get games working, not used to this

I do actually own heavy rain, I just used it in non-exploit mode and installed the patch etc...
EDIT //
I just find it funny the amount of people moaning about "backups" and acting legal and what not...

I do it to troll, lol. I had 8 original PS3 games, the rest are all acquisitions from online. I guess the reason HR doesn't work for you in JB is because of the patches/updates. I'm still hoping the homebrew scene can do something about that (something that actually works properly)

Check to make sure you haven't got the Uncharted 2 folder too many layers deep. It should be;
LAUN12345\GAMEZ\<gamename>\PS3_GAME\USRDIR\eboot.bin (internal)
\GAMEZ\<gamename>\PS3_GAME\USRDIR\eboot.bin (external)

uncharted 2, when I ripped it from original worked fine for me all the way though, so I know its not much help, but to could be a bad tranfer / dump

Are all of you guys on 3.41? The only known reason not to update is the danger of Sony tracking people, right?

No, the only danger is that as soon as you update past 3.41 the exploit will stop working completely.

They say on Psjailbreak.com "We will officially be releasing our support for new firmwares by October 20th..."
That is the only thing that makes me wait for the new version. And the main reason is i have a 3dtv and i want to be able to watch 3d blu-rays, which are supported by 3.5. Everything else is bonus of course. Just have to wait and see how much is Bullshit this time. Backup manager will blow us away... right, that would have to be something like supporting ps2 game isos and regionfree of course (images and blu-rays)

I'm not sure if I should answer that or leave it for someone else, lol!

Shit, this threads expanded.
I've been away 2 weeks, did I miss anything important? Last I checked there was work done on 4gig+ files and custom folder roots for the backup manager

coolio, cheers man. I better get reading.
I'm waiting for a new internal drive to arrive (well, I gotta order it first) before ripping too much.
Are sata II drives ok in a slim? Was gonna get a WD 640Gb sata II 5200rpm drive (2.5 inch)

I can't find a conclusive answer on that, to be honest. A lot of people claim yes, others claim no, while others still claim that yes if you can switch the jumper from SATA300 to SATA150 at the back of the drive.

I've not seen ANY SATA1 drives recently, they're all SATA2... so yeah - I'm certainly hoping they work. I'm gonna be picking up a WD 320GB drive in the next two weeks (330kr, which is remarkably cheap!) so I sure hope SATA2 works in my PS3.

I recently aquired a Samsung HM641JI SpinPoint 640GB (2,5'' 9.5mm / SATA II / 5400rpm / 8MB) HDD for 56 euros and it's working perfectly.
This is on and old fat ps3 if that matters btw.
