I fixed low fps problem, copied all demo files that (not overwrite) to the full game and overwrite arcania.exe with demo one.. copied reloaded files except arcania.exe ... now playing full game with demo exe whic is 1.1 version and fps is gr8 Smile
Duno if that will cause problems later but so far it is working ~40-50 fps and no slow downs....

This happened to me also. Not sure how to get into those caves. Maybe they open for alternate story branches??

Huh? The demo came out way before the patch 1.1 came out, how the hell is the demo exe 1.1? Did they update the demo or something?

Huh? The demo came out way before the patch 1.1 came out, how the hell is the demo exe 1.1? Did they update the demo or something?


Game needs to be sent to be manufactured couple of weeks before release. But even before that all teams working on the game go into a phase where they're not allowed to fix anything but major problems in order to avoid messing something up. So 2-3 weeks before release there can be no changes on the version sent to the factory.

They can however still keep working on the game during that time, and in this case the demo, just not on the release version.

Nah Demo has a lot newer exe becouse it is released 2 weeks ago and full game DVD printing started a month/two ago or so... jowood ppl on forum also sad demo used better/new build
Also demo version is 0.1382
and hot fix is 1.1.0.1385 so just a bit newer or almost same ...
original game is just 1.0

It crashes because of the savegames. It happens to me if I change the RELOADED crack with the Trivium crack too. I just tried the demo .exe method. I removed the savegames, started a new game, but nothing major, just as the demo was, so no thanks, I will continue on the RELOADED crack for now.

same here, crashes in menu

(lowering shadows and dynamic shadows world only lowered the stutter problem drastically in my case, rest of settings high)

quad, gtx260, win7 64

works fine with the demo exe, just remove the old saves ,in my documents, u had with the one from reloaded's crack

i did this and.. wtf, it worked!?

game runs near-flawless now, especially when it comes to micro stutters, just gone

motherfucking miracle.

you need to copy all games files that are missing from demo (duno which one i just click skip on owerwrite... so i am not sure which files copied) to the full game or the game crash .. also saves from 1.0 are not working, also i tried roloaded files and trivian but i think they are same just the arcania.exe is diferent
I am still playing and first island, so far no problems, quests are from the full game and not from the demo...

Yeah, I confirm its working with demo.exe, but only if you start a new game. I am not really in the mood to start all over again at level 9..... Sad

rhobards head in the dream sequence is missing when i use demo .exe Sad

some textures look blurry too

... but gives a good performance boost, runs smooth now with all settings maxed

but i dont know what to do now, cause savegame is not working, and not sure if demo .exe has gameplay limits later on Sad

Savegames are working, they are located in ArcaniA - Gothic 4 Demo folder in docs.
And there s definately some resourses missing have next:

It's just your imaginations, games are now running in slide show it's a feature, for more accessibility, you only need to press a key or click sometimes just to let the game know your still there. Crying or Very sad

There was a discussion in the console section about using a controller with the PC edition and how it wasn't the same due to the different UI, in that regard you can toggle between the X360 and PC UI (And no UI.) via a debug menu (Can also set time and timescale plus free cam to fly around but stuff won't load properly so you can't really explore.), that's how I've made my screens (No UI or anything.) and played the game. Smile
