Hey guys,

Good news, I got POTS working with the DEV release to URU. Here's what you do:

1) Backup the SAV directory and all its contents. The SAV directory will be found in your URU installation directory. Make sure you retain the directory structure. If you don't, and lose your save files, you'll have to start all over at the beginning of the game. That would be bad. Smile

2) Uninstall URU and To D'ni. Essentially, remove the whole game.

3) Install URU from the DEV release, and nothing else. Don't apply any patches or cracks. Also, do NOT install To D'ni.

4) Install Vengeance's release of POTS. Copy over their cracked version of sp.dll and uruexplorer.exe.

5) Copy your backed-up SAV directory over the new SAV directory, retaining directory structure.

6) Enjoy URU: Path Of The Shell! Smile

I agree Korperal.. that instruction seems bull.. it seems to work for some.. and some have to do another solution.. that solution did not work for me.. I had to use the SP.DLL from the original URU.. I think the crack is botched and it may be slightly dependant on what other software/games stuff u have installed already.. some of them may have files that autheticate or something.. i dunno.... its weird

according to safediscs own tools they are safedisc 3.. now it may be that the version numbers of the files doesnt say 3.. but that doesnt mean its not safedisc type 3
and this is what i get when scanning the files

Yea but thats from the first uru, not the new expack, i can scan the first uru too and this is what i get.

You don't know that, its a dispute between the two groups and you (more than liekly) have no idea on the truth....

More on topic:
They should have at least released a Crack Fix along side the whole release.
Scene politics and rivalry's hurting the end user again, hurray.

Well, anyways, back to the game...

I'm stuck at two parts:

1) In the mechanical age, I've gotten so far as the open area that has 4 fluid storage tanks with rotating mixers. How do I get past this? I've been in the drainage tunnel that has the broken mesh covering, but the end of the tunnel is sealed.

2) In the age with the crawling crabs, I went swimming to the hut, noted the number "3:72" and the map, but can't get inside the hut or seem to do much of anything else in the age.

Any ideas? What do all the numbers mean? What about the drawings with lines and squares everywhere?

Hop off of the two progressively smaller rocks in the water, then swim as fast as you can (while holding the shift key, to swim faster) towards the horizon. Also, tilt yourself slightly to the small island as well. Eventually, you'll reach it.

In other words, the current is too strong to swim directly towards it. You have to pretty much swim along the edge until you run into it.

Go to the room that has the 2 computer like screens. Go to the one on the left as you enter. Press the left blue button. There are 2 screens to the left, one of these controls the 4 mixers, the other controls something you will get to later. Deal with those mixers and climb down their tunnels...

I can not get one of the 4 tanks to drain, lemme know if you figure it out.
Also, lemme know if you figure out the puzzle once you get through one of the mixer tunnel.

I don't seem to have the ability to answer things in one post....

tycho55: The numbers are book and line number references to the new books in Relto. The will give you clues to help (supposedly help Wink Recall your D'nai numbering system. So for 3:72, grab book 3 and count to line 72, and read the clue.
Also, I swam out to one of the backdrops at the edge of the water in Ahnonay and found a book reference.

I am still working on the line sqares...

The drawings in the dead end room in Er'cana you will see later, but I still haven't figured them out, and I cant get back to that room.

v0ltage: Not sure what you mean by 5 spinning rocks. The 4 machines with sliders is what I am on now, though I still cant get one tank to drain. The sliders are some sort of timer. The clues talk about "The way will be made clear at the end of time", "the future is revealed to those who wait". So I am assuming something happens somewhere when the time runs out...
I just have no clue what.....

Now that I feel like a mass crab murderer I noticed the 'clock' in the centre
has only one light that corresponds to where I am on the island.
After that...i'm stuck. Any tips from anyone?

Also, I am completely stuck after I drop the 'pellets'.
If anyone can give me a hint? I've been stuck for hours.

On the asteroid you should have touched a shell cloth, use it from your relto book to return inside the hut.
