Is it true you can use PS3 jailbreak on Sansa e200 series? I think I still have that mp3 player around, so I as well might use it if I get PS3 some day Smile

Uhhh, what glitch might that be? I don't recall there ever being a 360 glitch that disabled HDD installs or corrupted profiles on other machines except the one it was created on. Please, do enlighten us Very Happy

He's not bullshitting ya man. I experienced that firsthand a year, maybe two, before they implented it. Profile worked fine on home 360. Take it to work 360 and it would work fine too but then home 360 would say profile was corrupt. Work 360 would see it fine. Any saves on the work box would also show up as corrupt once the work box accessed them. Any profile or save it made would show as corrupt to the home box. I tried friends hd's and mem cards, same shit. Thought it was just some random glitch and ended up selling it off to someone on the hardocp forums.

Had no idea back then. Hard drive installs hadn't been introduced at the time, I think. I believe it was still the era of the blades but I'm not 100% sure. Anyways just sharing that info.

I have 2 questions:

1.) Does the original disc which lies in the drive, spin, while you're playing a backed up game from open manager?

2.) Can you upload game saves and fuse them in your JB'd console? If yes, then howz?

I think it's pretty ridiculous that the hermes guy cares. I mean.. why would you care about something like that? it's irrelevant. it means nothing.

plus shit like that has to be expected. was he thinking that whatever he releases will be taken advantage of by noone? seems like the guy is pretty naive if something as inconsequential as that gets to him so easily.

that or he's just using it as an excuse and wanted to quit anyway.

I didn't want to come across as a cunt but I was going to say these hackers need to grow the fuck up.

You've got Matieluh and his stance on 'backups'.

The Cover Manager dude bitching about his code and making it so it deletes peoples files

And now Hermes spitting his dummy out because of what the Chinese have done.

Ok I need some help! Using ghia and the inbuilt FTP server I uploaded heavy rain to the internal hdd. Pressed X to play and it rebooted to menu. I guess at this point I select "PS3 Game" thing from the game menu. It then asked me if i wanted to install an update (to v2.0) to which I pressed O to skip. And now nothing - just a black screen.

Any ideas?

Some games absolutely require a disk in the drive (any legitimate BluRay game disk will work, even demos) - Heavy Rain could be one of those.

In my opinion; hold off for now. So far there's nothing that requires more than 16KB and Marcan has just been spouting hot air about his hatred over pirates/backups, so there's no news on his "godlike" rumoured Linux payload. No doubt he'll do the same thing he did with his Wii Backup Loader; where he created a better one than Waninkoko and then refused to release it because he doesn't support piracy. Out of all the guys in the "scene" - he's one I wouldn't hesitate to call a pretentious cockbag*

Wait a few weeks, see what else comes out, see if it's worth upgrading from 16KB to 64KB or beyond <3

LOL! Naw, not even close.. I've just been reading a lot and I like helping people, if I can =)

*incidentially; I definitely disagree with the hatred Hermes is getting right now. I don't understand how anyone can sit there, using his software (which he GAVE FREELY to you, asking nothing in return) and flame on him for stepping back. Some Chinese dirtbags took his software and are using the popularity of his name to sell knock-off devices ... and simply labelling the device with his name is enough to bring him to the attention of Sony. He decided to stop and what happens? You guys attack him and berate him and flame him? That's uncool.

So is PSgroove and PSFreedom and indeed any other payload right now. If a game requires a disk, then it requires a disk.. end of story. Some games can have LV1 patches applied to get around the disk restriction (a Sony restriction, I might add, since all backups are running off Sony's own BD-Emu) but some can't.
