But the difference here is big one. Close one eye and look at an object at a moderate distance. Now close your other eye and look at the same object. You see a different image of the object. What TrioViz allows for is just to see the object in the distance, but the object itself looks like a cardboard.

Lol, okay, I didn't say "3d support" in general, to be certified as a "nvidia 3d ready" title, or how they call it, nvidia has to work with your game.
Other games, that aren't made with 3D viewing in mind, ofter look wrong in 3D when you force it on the driver, and you have to disable shadows, reflections, the crosshair, etc.
This is why I'm insisting that we should wait and see how their 3D hack looks. Batman console GotY, had retrofitted TrioViz support, it was an afterthought. Perhaps Crytek can eliminate most of the glitches that are associated with this method during production for example by creating content that is less prone to glitches.
If 8/10 times it looks good, and the performance drop is 1.5%, then I believe most would consider it as an acceptable, efficient, cheap alternative.
If half of the times it look bad, yeah, it's not worth the fuzz.

Just been watching the rest of that GT-TV video and I was, pleasantly, surprised to see the "Strike" map I loved that map in CoD4, so it's gonna be great to play it again using the new toys from BO.
Back on topic..MP still looks like the sort of fps I only really play because everyone else does
