FUCKING hell they're getting obnoxious, I see ads in 2/3 videos, getting really annoyed. Does anyone know of a way to block these shitty video ads? Just refreshing the page doesn't skip it, it just makes it replay the ad...

Almost any Italian youtube video has those annoying commercials and yes, I also use adblock plus for Firefox

I've never seen a single youtube clip with ads, Swedish or otherwise.

They're not "embedded", so to speak, it's more of a little pop-up from inside the YT video pane. Really friggin' annoying, but AdBlock (Plus for FF and standard for Chrome) attempts to block it. Most the time it works, some other times you just get a black video. It's not on every video either, thank god.

I get them mate, disabled the Adblock option since I tend to end up with more black screen issues than not. I just close the ad when it opens.

I'm not getting any ads on my Mac. Youtube seems to have become a bit sluggish though.

Haven't seen any ads in ages.
The last time i saw one, you could just easily press F5 and skip the Ad, thought no idea if they changed that.
guess its worth a try atleast.

im still using firefox 2.something
right when firefox 3 came out... i dunno if it was v1 or beta or whatever the fuck, it had this fucking terrible as fuck thing that it did with the address bar, where it would try to guess what you wanted to type, rather than scanning history for things exactly like what you are typing...
for instance, if i wanted to get to nfohump, and i typed in 'n', it would bring up shit like ign.com or msn.com... basically any popular site with an n in it, rather than scanning for places ive been that start with a fucking n.
and there was no way to turn it off or fix it through addons...
so i uninstalled that unintuitive piece of shit, and went back to firefox 2, and here i sit... waiting till i stumble across a browser that isnt loaded down with gimmicky bullshit.

That seems to be the ImageShack effect. Once a cool site becomes too popular, the servers can't handle the load anymore. Ergo the site becomes slooow.
NFOHUMP is plenty fast again now that the warez downloads have been removed
