I agree that maps are kinda small. Coupled with high damage weapons and unbalanced sniping, things often get too intense. The lack of good understanding of the map layout makes it worse, since you don't really know where the enemy can come from, or the usual camping/sniping spots. Especially true on more open maps, like the airfield one.
This game really needs teamwork: people need to use smoke more often, cover each other and advance as a group. Once your team figures out what to do, it becomes an enjoyable game, especially in combat mission. Forward spawning and relatively small respawn times on attack, allow you to sort of push through even when you die a lot. BC2 made it easier to work as a team though.
All in all, this game is kinda shaky for me, when it comes to enjoying it: sometimes it's just fantastic, with great moments and intense combat, while another time you just want to smash your keyboard against the wall after being sniped for the hundredth time the second you take a single step. It needs some balancing...

Tried MoH for about an hour today, and it would be acceptable as a budget title from City Interactive but as a triple A title this just sucks. Just another boring shooter on rails with crappy graphics.

What with gameplay? Is good? And graphic is better than Bad Company 2 or worst? ?
Please answer. Thx |
The SP is the unreal engine while MP uses the forstbyte, so if you're playing MP it's pretty much BFBC2 and SP is also purdy.
I hope you enjoy your 480GTX, cause people with their 8800GTS's can play this.

That's probably why he bought the 480GTX in the first place, he just didn't get it.
Off-topic
I'm not upgrading my GFX card til the new generation of consoles come out, cause it looks like consoles are now regulating the boundaries of graphical eye-candy. Not when it was you had a Geforece2 and six months later some new game came out where you had to upgrade again cause there was an actual difference in how it looked and ran.

For some reason I'm starting to get CTD's during MP...and they're becoming more frequent.

DICE/EA are probably messing around with the servers again, seeing as you are not the only one. Personally, I didn't have any CTDs when I was playing earlier in the day.

Probably, because I haven't done anything with the game out of the ordinary. The only thing I've done is changed to FOV, forced DX9 and set bloom to low (can't seem to completely turn it off) but that's it.

Well, Frostbite doesn't particularly like DX9.
I had issues running it in BFBC2.

It stopped now... :S
Anywho, I'm starting to get used to the insane hitboxes and actually exploting it.
I'm trying to rank up my sniper so I've become quite efficiant at being a combatsniper who just runs around and 2-shots everything.

The days of on rails shooters is long obsolete. Its time they made them all open world which allowed for endless tactical options to missions.

As I mentioned somewhere earlier in this thread this UE3 engine build uses a lower value for the streaming data variables so they're a bit slower and "lazier" this might conserve VRAM but is of little use on a modern PC (Compared to the 512MB X360 with 256MB VRAM.)
It's poolsize=140 in one of the ini files instead of the often used 300 though values like 400 are recommended, other settings might also help but I'm not very good at what does what and what effects it has, enabling other values and tweaks are pretty self-explaining though and there's a number of them from shadow resolution to post processing tweaks and the like, overall though the game won't look all that much better and the texture resolution aside from characters and weapons are pretty low-detail.

played it and they must have balls to advertise this game as the next big thing.
Grafix are meh alot of low res textures, luckily you wont notice it in most of the game because most is in the dark or in the snow.
The AI is incredibly dumb. Even when they take cover 9 out of 10 times their heads stick out so you can stil headshot them.
Their aim is awful as well, if only 1 or 2 are shooting at you there is no need to take cover because they will miss 1 out of 8 shots.
They are only dangerous if they shoot you from up close or if ur out in the open and 10+ guys take shots at you and some of them have sniper rifles.
Further in most parts there are non stop spawns wich wil only stop when you reach a certain point.
There is a part at an airfield where your team takes the right side while the other guys take the left side (no this isnt a spoiler).
At some part of that level you can see the good guys and bad guys fighting at the left flank. I decided to help them a bit by sniping the bad guys, 4 seconds orso after i shot them they started spawning right in my sight. They could have atleast have them spawn around the corner so i couldnt see them spawn :/
And worst is you can spray asmuch as you want because you never run out of bullets. When you do just ask a team m8 for more because they carry absurd amounts of ammo even when they dont have backpacks.
Tbh the SP plays like it is dumbed down and rushed.
asmuch as we al complained about MW2 and BC2 both are stil loads better then this POS

Alright, had a chance to play some of the SP tonight and here is what I like and don't like.
Like -
Sound. This game sounds very, very realistic.
Story/Plot. Pretty good so far. I like how you get to play real life battles from a few years ago. Not totally accurate, but cool none the less.
Accurate information. As someone in the military I can tell you that this is the way military people talk (For the most part). They call stuff the right way, and the characters act like I would expect military people in real life to act.
Bad -
Graphics. What the fuck. Seriously. If the graphics would have been at least up to MW2 par the game would be MUCH better.
AI. Really bad. Nuff said.
Other stuff I can't put my finger on. The game just feels weird. The shitty FOV that can't be changed doesn't help.
All in all I like it. They really messed up in the graphics department though.
Can't comment on the multiplayer as I haven't purchased the game. Multiplayer beta fucking sucked though. If they sold this game for 30 bucks for the singleplayer only i'd buy it. They diserve the cash for that at least.

Cannot agree at all. The more i've played into it the funner it gets. Yes, it is very scripted. But man, the extra-scripted events like being the apache gunner or sniping with the .50 cal are awesome.
