Epsilon:
Most of the reviews have been very favorable, just check NMA for the latest news posts? Almost all of them are 9/10, a few even higher.

I just read what another member wrote about the less favorable reviews earlier in this thread, haven't checked the nma, duckandcover or codex information or reviews yet.

The reviews are very positive as inz said. The scores are just pulled down due to technical issues with the console versions.

What an asshole. I'm sure it has glitches but most of that is bullshit. Also hold reload to put your weapon away same as on the 360. Hold 1 to 8 in the items menu to use hotkeys.
I've been playing the 360 version and it's not that buggy. Just the same ragdoll freakouts that fo3 had sometimes. He's just being negative to generate hits on his site.

I just found the first one to be hilarious to read
and most reviewers seem to agree the game's writing is a lot better but it's still the same old buggy engine with the same old stupid bugs and glitches that they didn't bother to fix till now (Bethesda that is).

Looks like clonedvds are finally starting to appear (at least on w-bb). Yet there's no working crack, right?

They'll need to crack the exe mainly I think, that'll be Skidrow/Razor/Reloaded.

That it? FO3 crashed every 5 minutes on me until they patched it a bunch of times, that really put me off from playing it for a long time - and even then it would still randomly crash :/

I only had crashes when I introduced my own badly scripted mods.

Actually, if you read it correctly, he's not complaining about the ability to hotkey things like guns or such. He's talking about how there's no hotkey that brings you instantly to the map. Like 'Press M for Map' type stuff. Instead you have to use the Pipboy hotkey THEN manually navigate to the map screen.
If you can do this on the PC version (Press I to open the inventory, L to go the quest Log, M to go to the Map, etc) then I'm not sure why he's complaining. Obviously this isn't an option on the 360 due to lack of keyboard and sufficient buttons on the gamepad.
From my own experience, this game has a shit ton of glitches and bugs. A few of them are enough to detract form the game experience, while others are just small annoyances. I enjoy the game, but fuck does it piss me off when it crashes. My experience is all from the 360 version obviously, so view that forum to see how else this game has fucked me over.
It's a shame to have it released in such a state. It's very fun, and easily better than Fallout 3.
i can has computar?!

Gotten myself almost 20 hours so far and no real game-breaking bugs to be honest.
Spoiler: | A few small critters that ended up getting stuck when fleeing too far up the mountainside, companions getting stuck on each-other when in small hallways and stuff like that. Not a single crash or lag-spike in all honesty, it has been a pretty fine trip so far. |

Can somebody explain this SmartSteam? I have seen a clone dvd release with this process in several places but an unknown factor, to me, is the usagae of that program.
Is it safe, etc.

apparently sunglasses don't count as glasses for the four eyes perk.
I should have 9 perception right now, but only 7.

If you use a temporary / blank Steam account it might work, but it does carry a risk since it connects via Steam (IP and such info.) haven't used it but might work.
(Ideally you'd want the proper decrypted NCF's from someone who's unlocked the game for Steam/Steam-emulator program to recognize it properly outside of Steam_Appid.txt and similar workarounds, I do not have those files myself.)

Spoiler: | god this karma system blows. Getting attacked by a powder ganger, he has a plasma pistol. I attack him with the bladed gauntlet, he drops it. The items is now RED and it cost me karma to pick it up. Yet I get karma for taking him out. Make up your damn mind |
The bladed gauntlet is a beast though. I don't usually do a lot of melee, but wow does it tear through guys.
