Just about to install it but anyone know if it actually matters where you shoot enemies(unlike vanilla FO3 where it's just damage/accuracy)? Like in FWE they would drop their weapons if you shot the arm they're holding it in and run slower if you crippled the legs etc.

And is hardcore mode anywhere close to FWE? Still gonna start with it on but just curious

They drop their weapons if you shoot it, crippling might work better in hardcore mode (Though worse for you of course.) but it's probably not that much of a overhaul, some weapons have unique VATS attacks like specific melee stuff and some do extra damage. (Or less, silenced .22 does less limb damage, razor does better criticals and the boxing fist-tape can KO targets for example.)

EDIT: DLC goes to \Data\ so yes just copy it all there. Smile
(With what I wrote above about X360 and PC differences, still working on it but delayed due to my stupid handling of that main ESM, haha, nice that there's a release out though simplifies things and is handy for archival.)

I think it's safer to use a service you only download from (like Rapidshit or Megacrap) than p2p, even if private.

You must have played a different game. You could shoot weapons out of enemies hands (and have them explode) as well as cripple them OUTSIDE of V.A.T.S.

Amen to that.

No torrent will ever give me my full speed, usenet easily will. Not to mention the fact that using usenet is technically not illegal (by Dutch law at least), and torrents by definition are Smile

BTW How come Usenet gives you full speed? It's just matter of connection speeds in their data centers which are not unlimited.
Same way rapidshare works, so how's that different in terms of speed.

Because you have "bots" that download multiple pieces at once and they (usenet providers) have enormous amounts of bandwidth, allowing 100+Mbit-connections to pull the data at maximum speed.

Yeah but crippling them did nothing in vanilla FO3. They stumbled for half a second then back to normal.. Never bothered with anything but headshots without FWE in FO3 because it just wasn't needed at all and just a waste of time.

Didn't say anything about it being just in VATS either.

I usually get 2-3.5mb/s on Astraweb, i guess they just have big ass bandwidth at their disposal. Another plus of Usenet is the SSL connection, imho.

And the files are in small chunks, so it's kinda similar to torrents in that regard. Many connections getting many pieces at once. This also adds convenience: pausing/resuming at any time and for any amount of time.

There's just no beating usenet at this time in terms of service...

I specifically remember several fights with Behemoths and Deathclaws where they limped their way across the battlefield towards me. I think you might be getting vanilla mixed in with some mod you installed. Credit where credit is due - to Bethesda. Very Happy

Not sure if it was answered but how big is the game once installed ?

I'm starting to running short on HD space and i mean really short. Will need to uninstall some stuff if it's over 10 gigs.

Could always get another HD but meh...i'm just waiting for the prices on larger SSD to go down a bit. I mean 2000 $ for a 512 gigs SSD is just plain retarded Laughing

Remember to edit the game dir.

Works just fine Smile

It'll be awhile before you find any ammo for them, and guns are just too ubiquitous to pass up - but energy weapons do nice damage and are just cooler.
