At character creation it says that agility affects speed. What kind of speed does it mean? I tried a character with an agility of 1 and then with agility 10 and i didn't notice any difference in running or sneaking speed.

Skidrow version runs fine here.
60+ FPS at max settings.

A little bit of pop in but I'm sure that can be fixed with .ini tweaks.

Does anyone know if there are any tweaks available yet?

I got "friendly" with a local outpost NCR officer, interesting how much variety you have in order to deal with people and how you can treat them.

Any tweak guide for Fallout 3 should work fine.

I have a problem with the quest "Boulder City Showdown". For some reason, even though I've completed the task set, it doesn't register. Anyone else have this problem?

Just tested this in my XP partition.
Right after exiting the docs house my fps were almost twice as much as they are in Win7.

Nice fucking work Bethesda/Obsidian/Skidrow. Sad

Has this stuttering only occurred on x64 so far?

I won't find out how it runs on my system until late tonight, but considering I'm running Win7 x64.. :E

FO3 ran fine though, way to fuck up? Neutral

Game runs close to 50 FPS here, down to 40 on occasion and one or two times at the larger areas it's been somewhat lower still.
(As I've said and from the images and INI file I posted it's heavily tweaked and all of it for further visual quality which really hits performance and it still manages that sort of framerate which I find impressive.)

It's strange how many people get issues with the games performance, I assume Windows is up to date as well along with any support drivers for other hardware components as there's numerous compatibility hotfixes and the like that do help.

INI editing will further improve the situation but wouldn't help much if there's already such a large gap in performance.

Strange issue though the same has been reported for Fallout 3 and Oblivion as well.

The games are DX9 and use DirectSound, they do not use DX9e/D3D9x which hampers performance somewhat but shouldn't be too bad, DirectSound could be a larger issue depending on your soundcard if it still tries for hardware processing but via software that's not going to look good for performance at all.
(Could be one part of the problem actually.)

I`m really suprised there is so quiet about this game performance in here when in FNV forums there is a lot of posts.

This game runs like crap for me 29-60 fps with vsync and 29-65 without vsync and that is on MEDIUM. Its stuttering all the time and when in first town i have average 35 fps.

The strange thing i believe is cause of this is gpu and procesor usage. It usess 20-30% of GPU, and 70-90% of 1 core the rest is 10-15%.

Because it has much improved graphics and DirectX10 as noted earlier.

Are you running Windows 7 64bit by any chance? I have similar problems, so do lots of people on the Bethesda forums. As soon as I face an npc, the fps suddenly takes a nosedive. Everything at the very minimal graphics settings and different tweaks make no difference either.

Hopefully they'll come up with a fix soon, the thread on their forums is here

got exactly the same issue Sad also seems to be nvidia related, users with ATI cards report no problems. and of course i have win7x64 and a 9600m gt...
