So, following the advice of some of you guys, I started playing Star Wars Republic Commando.
Currently doing the first mission - I've been VERY impressed so far, especially from the tactical aspect (much better managed than in other similar titles) which really adds an additional layer to the gameplay. And the SW atmosphere is there.
Truly an overlooked gem so far, I hope it keeps this level of quality throughout.
