Wow! I just found this mod (Or bugfix?) at the NVNexus Smile It's a stutter remover for NV (it's a port from the FO3 stutter remover). And it works! Very Happy

It's an early build that is updated on a daily basis, but it certainly helped my performance.
The great thing about this mod, is that it fixes the "64 hrz" issue with Gamebryo Engine. In other words, it fixes these micro stutters that everybody is experiencing with Oblivion/FO3/NV.
So, this is Imho awesome, because I was getting pretty tired of the constant stuttering that happened regardless of detail settings.

http://newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=34832

Ps. Just use the preliminary_4 archive.

This doesn't seem to work on the cracked skidrow release. The logfile says:
"This version of FalloutNV.exe is not recognized (it is either encrypted or an unsupported version)"
I'm using skidrow update2, which is version 1.1.1.271
The description says that this version is supported but i guess it doesn't recognize the cracked exe.

edit: Now i tried with the original exe and it still says unsupported version, so no idea why it doesn't work.

It works fine for me, and I'm using Update 2 by Skidrow.

Same here, works with skidrow update 2 and microstuttering is gone. Sure you got the preliminary_4 one? The other is bugged.

None of my later saves work on Patch 2. Only the ones 20+ hours back in play-time do. Everything works fine in Patch 1, but that means no stutter fix.

New Vegas beats Fallout 3 debut sales

GFK-ChartTrack has confirmed that Fallout: New Vegas has outperformed predecessor Fallout 3's opening weekend sales by almost a third.

The UK games data monitor reported that New Vegas - which went top of the All Formats chart this morning - "comfortably" beat Bethesda's previous record holder.

New Vegas' sales on Friday, Saturday and Sunday were 29 per cent greater than Fallout 3's in week 44 of 2008. That game also hit No.1 in the chart.

New Vegas knocked EA Medal of Honor off the top spot in today's chart, with EA's FIFA 11 taking the No.3 slot.

Good Smile

Now, Bethesda should just give Obsidian the id tech engine and let them create Fallout 4 Smile

So it seems that the Portuguese Retail PC version of this game has a tiny little problem: they forgot to include the serials within the box.

And Sega's "The Club" (which pretty much kick-started the mega GFWL scenario) in all copies of their game. You could email Sega and they would send you a free key without any purchase necessary. They changed that pretty damned fast... probably when they started getting key requests that exceeded the amount of games sold by a factor of 10 Laughing Laughing Laughing

And World in Conflict, so I sent the original owner and UbiSoft which bought them an email, requesting a new cdkey, and they both sent me different keys, so now I have 2

Hell, I'd say you've got a good chance of activating most of them with a single key. You can generally get around 15 activations off a single key, heh.

Quick question: Is it "safe" to install all the updates? I'm about to do a full install and i think i've read that Update 2 causes some problems to some users.

Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 - ASUS P5Q-PRO - Mushkin XP2-6400 4GB - Gainward HD4850 Golden Sample - WD 3200AAKS (managed to fry this one, ffs) + WD 6400AAKS - Thermaltake 550W PSU - Thermaltake Soprano VX case

I'm kinda stuck. I wento to nipton. But then I didn't know where to go. Aparently I have to go to novac... But how do I get there??
To the north I have quarry junction where there are deathclaws
I also have a marker for the scrapyard, but there are mutants
and then theres primm pass with a blind deathclaw that rips me in half with 1 attack.

I just dunno where to go next, do I go to the scrapyard and try to fend of the mutants?

Dunno, this still feels like Fallout Light, albeit less so than Fallout-3-by-name-only. It got the atmosphere, it got the story, it got the weapons, it got the bugs, ig got dark humour, but not Fallout-dark humour. In a perfect Fallout world, you can bang a young chick, shoot her childbrother's eyes out, cripple her daddy's groin, nailing the now-unsatisfied mother, make a smut flick with both broads, send the younger one to hooker alley while selling the rest of the family into slavery.

That was Fallout 2 through and through. Frankly, that was the only game which had lots and lots of sex (well not graphic) which even F1 didn't have. All the rest of the fallouts combined don't have the amount of sex which F2 contains.

1 and 2 are still amazing.
