My version works perfectly but I got it from one of the private torrent sites I go to. There is no group affiliation with it at all. Not in the files, no nfo, nothing. The guy who put it up is a trusted and regular uploader but he hasn't answered my pm asking about it.

It was in iso form and required no crack. Just install and play. Is that how the other versions floating around have been?

It was likely the very first crack (2.89mb) by chinese crackers (from "3DM" board or something like this), along with a dll taken from one of older THETA releases.

Anyone have problems with RELOADED crack? It doesn't launch the game for me, only Steam. Or will it only work with their release?

Fuck, that game ROCKS! Very Happy

When i saw it what first came to my mind was Final Fight (or Cadillacs & Dinosaurs, The Punisher etc.) - what a masterpiece!

Play it on multiplayer Very Happy Not only do you get new moves you can use with your partner, but the story is a prequel to the SP Very Happy

Just finished this (short) game. I liked it, especially the exaggerated and bloody art-style, with brutal cutscenes and the Machete-sque atmosphere Razz . Too bad that the slighly uninspired level design and flat gameplay

spoiled the fun a bit, as well as the lack of the "wow!" factor which became very noticeable especially in the last stages. Aynyway, I enjoyed it - 7/10

i just beat this game. it took around 50 minutes on normal. i skipped all the cutscenes. Smile

wtf is up with the long loading time between levels? this is a freakin' flash game that takes ages to load? anyway, the graphic is ok. with all the different types of weapons and blood, one would think you could dismember your enemy's limbs. i mean a chainsaw to the head would split a guy open, right? Sad

i don't know what the story is about due to me skipping all the cutscenes and i don't really care. Smile

overall, once you beat the single player game, there doesn't seem to be any reason to play again unless you do multi-player which i do not. Smile next game up...death spank!

Shank.Update.1-SKIDROW

It does work on reloaded release too.

Just note that if you remove reloaded crack (steam_api.DLL), saves will be saved in different location

instead of Shank\bin

it will be:

%appdata%\Local\SKIDROW\SAVES\6120

Still, reloaded crack works pretty well with skidrow crack on its top (although in that case only shank.exe is necessary, other files are not used).

Here's what you have to do if you want to save your control-layout and graphics settings with the Shank.Update.1-SKIDROW:

I've been using Shank.PROPER-RELOADED with CPY-CRACKFIX in Win32 XP. While using this, I set my control and graphics settings to something already.

Before updating the game, I made a backup of the folder, named after my computer username from the directory -> D:\Shank\bin.

Let my computer username be 'Sth' so the folder in the above mentioned directory I'm referring to is Sth. This folder is useless when you apply the Shank.Update.1-SKIDROW - patch and crack.

I replaced the CPY steam_api.dll with the original 119 KB RELOADED steam_api.dll in the directory, in my case, D:\Shank\bin, for the new SKIDROW crack to work.

Apply the patch and crack from the Shank.Update.1-SKIDROW.

Start the game, play for a while, quit.

Now go to the recently backed up folder named after your computer username, which in my case is Sth. Copy the folder named users.

Go to -> C:\Documents and Settings\Sth\Local Settings\Application Data\SKIDROW\SAVES\6120 and paste what you just copied. Play the game.

From this point onwards, your graphics and control settings should stay saved!

my Sth.dat contains saved volume and controller vibration data
and from the users folder:
controller_settings.bin contains saved control-layout
graphics_settings.bin contains saved graphics settings
