What? How long have you been playing PC games for? It's always been this way. I find it difficult to think of any PC game that has not been patched after release. They exist, but they are rare; I'm sure a few of our more learned members can help out.

I'm not sure how a patch=money money money, either.

Great change log btw. Making a great game even better.

Hehee Smile But patch looks good, now I just don't have any interest to play it before it's out (in about 3 weeks). DX11 + better multicore use + punctures + AI pit = wohoo Smile edit: and split times of course!

All right the patch is finished:

Quote:
The team have been hard at work and as a result we have now completed all internal testing on the patch.

"The patch is now in submission with Microsoft and Sony for all 3 platforms, and once this process has been successfully completed the patch will be released, ready for you to download. Keep an eye out on the forums, facebook, and twitter, as we'll let you know as soon as it's ready to download. "

Took them a while. Cant wait to see what happens, especially with the tire puncture fixes. One of my mates got three punctures in one race, you should have heard his rage on TS. Very Happy

Spain track, Practice 1, Drive out! Nananannanaanana Pit limiter off, WOT on the straigth, 2 secs, tyre pops even before i braked for the first turn.

The patch will fix many stuff, but why do i get the feeling its gonna be a visual magical act? like everything will be "corrected" but i get the same feelings u guys have, they will cover up the dirty spots with nice flowers while the game will still simulate the AI in a cheating way. but oh well if the patch really fixes the BIG bugs out, im gonna buy it, online is gonna be quality. or is it wont???... Razz

Really nobody out there with similair specs who's got shitty performance on this game?
I mean real shitty like 19/25 frames even on a empty track.

Previous games ran 'stable', thats what concerns me.

e6600 @3.0Ghz + 4870 (1GB) here, and my framerate oscillates from 30 to 40fps. Definitely playable, but I expected a bit more.

I'll try installing this again later, see if i can get rid of this slideshow.
Pretty odd, even when i reduced my res to 800x600 with lowest settings i wouldnt gain a single frame.

Still getting the same performance, Stuck at 17 frames on monaco with a full grid.
however i noticed something odd.
When watching a replay and pause it, my framerate jumps up to sixty or higher.
As soon as i play it back my framerate drops to 17/18.

Some similair thing in the menu, when I point to grand prix i get a framerate of 100.
Now when I alt-tab/enter to make the window smaller and go to another active screen in this case firefox, my framerate drops to the value of 17 FPS, same amount as in the actual race i did.
When i click on the F1 2010 window once again, it jumps back to 100 FPS.

Edit, I was playing around with this for a while, and after several trys my framerate remained at 55 at the starting grid of monaco, it was uber smooth however it dint last long, a half lap.

Dont know how i did it, but it happened again in the pits before starting the race, suddenly stable framerate after tabbing, now its back to 17, I give up Razz
Gotta be something wrong here,.

It's a LIVE game so if that's active (And the patch is verified.) it should download when the game is started as part of one of LIVE's semi annoying features in how it verifies and enforces that the game or the LIVE interface is updated if you wish to remain signed in, heh.

Ofcourse I don't expect many people here own the game (I don't, not much of a racing person though it can be fun for shorter plays.) so I guess a crack is necessary, if it's just LIVE though that shouldn't be much of a problem unless the update is ignored.

Aha, I guess Microsoft is taking their time with the verification process (Certification process.) it's normally referred to as taking about two weeks, unsure how it works for Sony, but it'll probably be released shortly, especially if the patch is released for one platform already.
(Should prevent issues with the X360 unit but on PC it's mostly just a longer delay until patches are released unless it's a critical issue or conflict with LIVE or similar at which a hotfix is usually released quickly, such as the first patch for Fallout 3 for example and how most of the following ones were primarily to aid the DLC and achievement system.)

F1 Games from Codemasters The F1 2010 patch for PC is now available via GFWL and the game should update automatically when you next boot it up. A standalone version of the patch will be made available soon.

Horrible read that patch fix list and some dared to say it was not broken Very Happy Now if the game had come out like the 1.01 version..
http://community.codemasters.com/forum/6698576-post3.html

Got to try it tomorrow, sort of over the hole game, took them way too long to fix the critical issues. Well in the long run one big patch might be better.

Did they fix the AI braking on corners that don't need it? Like Valencia, corner 20 if I remember correct http://www.illuka.es/img/vscf2.jpg
