yeah it wasnt much in the way of difficulty. the only problem i had completing the game, was when its 'wonderful' autosave feature up and died on me leaving me with a corrupted save just before i was off to meet the joker.... so clever of them to extend gameplay in such a way, eh?
i liked the scarecrow ones because they were cool. not gameplay wise, but atmospherically they were neat, like how you walk through the level and it starts changing, then you get some trippy level with him in the middle, and with the controller vibration and a 5.1 setup with the bass ripping through you, it was awesome.
unless if you mean the 'boss fights'
there's a few really annoyingly hard ones, yea
The problem with the boss fights wasn't that they were hard, more that they ran out of idea's so just spammed you with more enemies rather than better one's.
I tried the end fight once and turned the game off unfinished as I just couldn't be arsed.
Other than the boss fights was a class A game but it was a very big annoyance for me.
because of how the combat system is done, 'more enemies' isn't just a dumb filler like in most games, but it does add to the difficulty in the appropriate way
you have to be more careful and keep constantly moving
only trouble i have with larger crowds is the special type baddies, like with the shock baton and the damn knife dudes
but that's entirely my shortcoming, not the game's
Before the last scarecrow level, there was a moment when the sound started screeching and the screen was full of artifacts. I thought that my comp went kaput, but then realized it was actually part of the game.

Epic
Wait, where was this? Was it in a long dark corridor?
Coz I remember that happening to me, but I always ctrl+alt+deleted out and ended the game.
It only happened in this one specific spot, and it made me uninstall the game afterwards lol.
Oh do I remember that one... I had some issues with my system not long before that, and I thought I had resolved them. If it still failed it would mean I was looking at a hardware fault somewhere.
So that episode really got me: a loud "shit!" followed by "oh you guys"...well played.
No i don`t mean the Riddle's challenges, i mean the challenges in the main menu...
even the firt one is really really hard to get 18000 points!!
And to get 100% completion you need to finish all of them...
Now that I have a somewhat reasonable computer, should I play Batman Arkham Asylum? Never played it, never saw it live and only looked at one youtube developer diary some time before it's release.

Seems as if quite some people liked it, right?
AA is simply one of the best action games of the last five years

+1
Sweet combat system. And a sequel is coming in March I believe.
