Wow. I feel like such a fucking idiot. I thought my older 260's were new enough. Updating to the 260.99's pretty much removed all the horrible stuttering.
Ug. I'm getting old.
Can anyone else confirm this ?
Not really, I have 260.99 and game stutters like hell. I feel like my rig comes from medieval.
So I beat the SP and was exciting and fun but still didnt get the point at the end. Also when I beat the game after credits I got to play zombies modes solo..but after I quit I cannot play it anymore gives error.

Wbb has a unlocker or patcher for it that will keep it activated
Don't know if this has been posted somewhere on this thread already, but apparently there is a huge game-breaking glitch in Black Ops MP... I'd say those who decided not to buy the game made the right choice.

Game is smoother here, but stuttering is still the same. I guess 260.99 drivers don't bring fixes to my low-mid-end 9800GT :/
It doesn't solve the problem, but it is way better then older drivers.

Epic Apple. Black Ops does the Gravity
But I think there are more serious bugs to fix.

Interesting, I have an AMD card (6870) with 10.10d drivers and never had any stuttering. Maybe it's a nVidia related problem? Are there Radeon users with stuttering?

Many Ati users (me included->4870) are experiencing issues, especially those using crossfire setups.
Single 6870 here (with latest drivers: 10.10d), no stuttering, playing at 1920x1200 with maxed out details and 4xAA, framerate between 45 and 60 (capped by v-sync).
ATi 4870 here guys, stutters all over the place and with laughably poor performance (averaging in 40s but dips as low as high-20s)
You need some quad-core powaaaaaaaa.
I get mid 30's as the minimum framerate here and the only stutters I have is right after the game finishes loading the level.
