It works pretty much ok on any high end more than two core cpu with some leg room and better cache..
Its just a fucked up optimization port thats all, When they sort it out should be back to normal like all other cods work... trouble is for many and especially on dual cores right now its streaming shit to the cpu like its nobodies bizz! causing major game hitching... Frames are not the issue with the game problem i get between 40 and 120 all the time.. its just fucked up coding for pc it seems...
Its just weird really how some i7's etc have the same issue, so its prob going to be a relation to how the hardware works on "your mother board" and the general issue with the cpu to gpu offload and hey maybe there is even a small leak somewhere in memory or some loop issue..
I pray it gets fixed, been having a blast in it really, the hitching is shit but hit 15 i think it was so far and had some fun at least doing so.

this game works great for me after I set all graphics to maximum quality. Yes. everything maxed out. you dont' find impressive? check this out:
amd athlon II x2 245 with 4gb ram and a gf 9800gt
and it was not working so good when i had everything set to minimum, believe me.
i just installed the directx that comes with the game and i already had the lastest 9800gt drivers installed. no stutters at all.

I only experience a 3-second stutter every 10 or 15 minutes. Apart from that, fps issues on some maps, but almost never goes below 40fps.
Quite annoying, but definately playable.

Works just great on my rig (see sig) Two ATI 4850's in crossfire. Latest drivers. Tuned on fraps while escaping the prison and was getting around 70 fps.
So far, I feel like I'm being pushed too fast by my team mates in the game, feels too frantic. Think I 'd enjoy a slightly slower pace. But that's just me

Horrible performance even with the 260.99 nVidia drivers. The config settings didnt help either, so I will just wait until a patch released and play it then..

I've got a Q6600 @ 3.0 GHz, 8GB of RAM, GTX 275 896mb, Vista 64 bit, x-fi fatal1ty pro sound, all the latest drivers, etc., etc. and I get stuttering very frequently while playing. It usually happens during big fire fights. It's like the game will just "freeze" for about 1-2 seconds, they goes back to normal. I am running at 1920x1080 and get about 45+ FPS all the time.. It's definitely some netcode issues and perhaps some problems with the dedicated servers. Hopefully this will be fixed soon.

Turning vsync off fixed all the lag for me. Edit: after getting stuck for ~20 minute at some scripted event that i didnt know how to trigger, shooting at the never ending wave of soldiers, i can say that the game sucks ass !!12234545

I've been playing through this for the past 8 hours, and it seems I've stumbled across a game-breaking bug.
Spoiler: | It's at the end when you're tripping out. The cinematics sequence is going, and then it freezes here:
|
And that's it. Game just sits there, does nothing. Impossible to skip the mission or complete it. Guess I'll just have to wait for a fix =/

if your getting the stuttering in MP.... What worked for me was bringing down the console when the game loads up ( press ~) and type: /sv_maxrate 25000
It doesnt smooth it out 100% but it causes it to mostly go away at least for me it did.
