Both me and my friend have legit copies (he bought it off steam, and I bought it off amazon) and we both have the annoying stutters in MP.
It is worse for him since he even had stutters in SP while frap's FPS count stays well above 50. Mine runs perfect in SP, but the MP is sometimes annoyingly unplayable due to complete PAUSE during gameplay.
Oh, my rig is decen with quad core @ 3.5 Ghz and GTX 285, so I think it should run perfectly.
Sig too big. -Nothing is too big for Fedor. Expect a nasty armbar.

It's from the perspective of a 16:10 monitor.
The message is that the game renders at 16:9 and is not cropped but stretched to 16:10 or 4:3. That's the worst way of doing it.

Any idea on how I am to find my own server? It lists like 450 servers out of 10000...but I cant see my own. I cant find anyway of enterting my ip either (tried the console, but i just cant seem to find a working command)
shitloads of new stuff in my pc. Cant keep track of it all.

You bet! This has been on my "buy!" list ever since Treyarch started putting out the game info. I played the 360 version and instantly loved it so once the PC version has been conclusively fixed, so that it's a FACT it works fine for everyone, I'll buy it.

If you're not a fan of the later incarnations (Modern Warfare onwards) I doubt this will change your mind much, it really is "more of the same, just with refinements" I loved it though, just as I loved MW2.

I was just so poor at it it got really frustrating.

I bought cod 4 when that first came out and must of played 10 games on it max.

Most of the multiplayer stuttering was fixed yesterday when the dedicated servers were updated to run at a rate of 25000 instead of 5000.
The multiplayer list is still fucked up because they are only showing you like 200 at most due to heavy traffic. When the game first came out, this is why the server browser didn't even work most of the time, so their fix lets the browser work - But now you only see 1/100 of the servers available. Which is pretty gay.
Main thing that needs to be patched now is no /connect console command, and the 'favorites' not working.
Again, I have no more stuttering after updating to 260.99's and playing on servers with the updated rate of 25000. When the game first came out I stuttered like a motherfucker for reference.

The Michael Bay is strong in this one.
I've just played a bit of SP (since I haven't bothered buying yet), and it seems it's much more pure action oriented than ever before? Not saying it's a bad thing, but I do hope there's some stealthy missions and some more controlled action (rather than rush action) later on! Lots of things going boom!
Other than that, the game seems to look worse than MW2, although I'd have to fire that up to compare. Running it at 1080p with the absolute max settings (8xAA I think it was? 16xAF, textures @ extra), capped at 60 FPS (vsync on), no problems at all. It does indeed seem to use more CPU resources than it should though, it's constantly taking up about 40% of all 4 of my cores, and I don't really see why because there's not THAT much happening 
I'll probably fetch a copy somewhere next week, so much work to do that I won't be able to play much yet anyway

Wrong.
You are lucky, but most people still have stuttering on newest drivers. I was on a 25000 server earlier and yes it was a tiny bit better, but not resolved.
