That's proof enough for me. "30G" LOLWUT? I ain't never seen "30G" on my PS3, regardless of firmware. Fucking fake-ass scammers, they're fixing to take everyone's $40 and do a runner.

Jeez, its not like I didnt call this weeks ago. No doubt the emails will be delayed due to "mass demand" then they will disappear as quickly as this website was created.
Doubt we will ever see support for 3.50 or 3.42 and new games will deffo require 3.50 and higher to run so will be good for homebrew and other cool modding stuff, but not for pirating, which is a good thing tho isnt it?!?

maybe the 3.50 firmware displays the free space that way.. anybody here with 3.50 can see if this is the case ? or the factory mode could easy be the cause of that.

So this is what they've been working hard on? A method to downgrade new firmwares in order to maximise sales of a device (PSJailbreak) they currently aren't allowed to sell? That's it? That's the result of all their hard work?
It's sort of pathetic when you consider how far others have come, ie, game updates, PSN access, etc.
Brilliant. And when future games are developed with SDK3.50, then what? What is their solution to that? Or will they just wait for the scene to sort that?

I think a downgrade is a pretty amazing solution.. for 3.50 scene will find a solution to run it from usb or something like that. I wonder if linux will work on the slim if you downgrade to 3.15

After 3.41 didnt sony disable usb on boot? if so then there will be no usb solution for >3.41 FW

Im not sure how anyone could outright call this fake.... Since you cant even buy it right now. I have an original dongle, and i will buy it to test when i can actually buy it. My friend updated to 3.42 so i will test on his system. Ill waste $40 to test it, well that is unless a open source solution is released. 
I was never one of the select few that got there email for serials. 
Does anyone know how i can buy it to test?

Yes, this new payload allows PSN access on *any* version of PS3 firmware - though for how long is another matter. Sony are no doubt beavering away trying to block it, or the users, thanks in no small part to Matheiul. As for newer FWs being hackable; no, not yet. PSJB team claim they have a downgrader that will downgrade any PS3 from xxxFW to 3.41 or lower. I call complete bullshit though, just like everything else they've spouted over the last two months, and even if it IS real; it'll cost you $180+ to do it.

i just don't see how $ony would be able or even interested in blocking this, new fw maybe, then hackers have to spoof it with some update again, unendable circle, in any case it's not like psn has golden accounts to play online like m$

back up your stuff with ps3 back up utility
get update 3.41 and put it on usb stick
plug your new hdd
turn on ps3 it will ask u for update, get usb stick where u have your update on, must be in PS3>UPDATE, u need to create folders as follows with capital letters
from there it's very easy
after that use ps3 restore utility and that's it

Just tried the new PL and PSN works like a charm ^_^ What games do you guys recommend for multiplayer ? Tried Modnation Racers and it was pretty neat.

If there would be (hypothetically) one game you could play before gettting banned, I'd have to recommend Demon's Souls. PvP, text messages left by players, ability to play co-op with random players (blue eye-stone). |

Damn it , i've been looking for a PAL ( eur ) rls of Demon's soul ever since i JB'd my ps3 , but i couldn't find one , and since i'm using an oldschool sdtv, ntsc ( us ) shows up as black and white with an annoying flicker.
Started playing Little Big Planet , but i haven't unlocked the online functionality just yet so in terms of PSN i just played quite a bit of ModNation Racers, while the new CoD game is being downloaded.
