which is better two worlds II, gothic arcania, or divinity II?
they all look very similar to me and I want to get into another RPG since I'm done with FO:NV.

Two Words II and Divinity DKS (Dragon Knight Saga) imo Gothic 4 is just a bad joke.

arcania and divinity 2 isnt even on the same level compared to two worlds..
not only both of them run terribly , they are just boring and broken inside
7th is one where you kill labirinth architect and get location to last 3, went to 8th, noticed it was big ass labirinth like 7, so just loaded at exit and went out.. screw that shit , 1-6 were easy, but 7+ is nuts

Quote: | This game has more to offer for it's money than most other games released in the past years (<5) not to mention superb graphics/framerate ratio. |
Quote: | second island got more content that 90% of currents game out there, if you think its mostly empty you missing a lot of content .. exploring, racing, guild quests, and so on, its a desert after all |
A lof of current games aren't that great, I'm talking about compared to the first one. The first one had a pretty big world to walk around in and explore. It sounds like this one really doesn't and that's a real negative for me, regardless of how shiny it is.

yeah getting teleported back and drowning when you swim too far off, that doesnt belong at all in an "open world" RPG. I'm sure its not disapointing to people used to Bioware games or The Witcher etc (since they are very limited when it comes to exploring), but for people playing the new FO's or Bethesda's games or even TW1 its disapointing..

Regarding Mirage:
Spoiler: | I don't suppose there's a way to actually side with him for real against Reesa and Valarin? There have been a few choices in other quests, but in this one - after the initial talk with Tongue and agreeing to work for Mirage - the questline pretty much forced me into helping Reesa. I'm at the point where I've stolen the Tear from the temple, I guess you can't side with Mirage in the meeting? |
Edit: It seems you can. Ah, it feels good to be evil. Muahahaha!

How many hours are in this game would you say? I ask because it sounds like this game really had some positive things to be said about it at first but now a lot of negativity is coming out. Is it because the game is short-lived?

Okay this really is a letdown with the islands
Im now 11 hours ingame and cleared the complete north side of the island and starting island. Quests, caves etc. Im still in chapter 1 but i still need an answer on my question.
Any way to change my difficulity setting of my savegame? I feel overpowered big time
Im a dual sword/axe fighter but i currently use only 1 and i still kill allmost everything in one strike
Edit... btw i have to say its nice to play a optimized game. The game runs awesome even on my old rig
Empty again

It's a bit disappointing that the larger island is split into MP content and not very accessible and that this wasn't clarified when they posted the map image how a lot of this wasn't in the SP mode aside from the two last smaller chapters but I'm not too bothered by it as I can access most of it from the MP mode and I'm something like 18 hours into the game and still exploring the jungle island so I got a lot out of the game already, there's a few bugs though and MP can be a bit glitchy but overall I like the game.
It is closer to the structure and flow of say Arcania or Divinity 2 than Oblivion / Gothic 3 or Two Worlds 1 but there is room to explore as you wish with some restrictions though albeit dungeons are a bit under-utilized and large parts of the areas is mostly filler with very little there (Though the same goes for TW1 as well in many places.)
Riding and boat mechanics are also highly under utilized unfortunately and there's very little to discover outside of those larger islands.
Still have to go trough the MP campaign as well which is much harder plus the village mode which will be a challenge to master but for now I'm still exploring the SP content, will be done with this chapter shortly so I'm getting close to the end it seems.

So, what kind of spells is everyone using? Here I have 3 card firebolt, summon wasp, invisibility, light, mind trick, the anvil dropping enchantment(looks hilarious ), and the 20s 100force repulse thingy which obliterates any physics affected props around in case something is blocking my way, makes me feel like a badass. Usualy I just spawn 6 or so of the wasps, scout ahead with oculus then go in with invisibility and have wasps get all the aggro, then the firebolt spam starts.

I summon a group of 10 undead warriors (death knights) and then have a really powerful fireball with damage mods and richochet mods along with homing.
Shit is funny. I have my main fireball set up to hit/ricochet off of 4 enemies, and the ricochets are homing....
If there are only 2 enemies on the screen, the fireball bounces back and forth between them, and then flies off to the next closest enemy....>REALLY awesome in the open wild.

Where can I buy a torch?
Spoiler: | Sold the ones they give you at the start of the game and now can't navigate the labyrinth at Tomb of Archpriest Narmer. Can't buy low level staffs to cast magic either being a different class and all. |

Put a single skillpoint in fire magic then, and spend about 3k on creating a light spell
