Why must Gerald's face look so rigid and emotionless in every trailer? These guys seem to put so much effort into the graphics, yet they don't seem to do the same for facial expressions. Shame.

Because emotion system is not yet implemented.
They said it numerous times in many videos.

Yeah, I saw that last night and I want to say that I like the guys from CDProjekt. They're not like other devs. I wouldn't mind if they're going on consoles too, but I hope their most important platform will remain the PC forever. Also, they are the ones that put the incredible universe made by Sapkowski into a game which for me is one of the best games and RPGs at the same time, made. Another very good thing that they gave us is Good Old Games. I hope the second one will be better, though for me the first one didn't really had flaws, I loved everything at it. Maybe if they make the world bigger and they give us full freedom, that will be something much better for me, at least. One thing that I don't like in the second game right now is how Geralt looks and I don't talk about his hairstyle, I like that. It's more his face, he looks a little more stupid, but I hope it will be just fine when I play the game. Also, his voice isn't that from the first game anymore, if I remember right, which is also a bad thing.

I stopped watching when he said "dynamic and spectacular". He said the same exact thing about the shitty QTE hand to hand combat back in some video from GC
What's next? "The dialog choices are so dynamic and spectacular he says something completely different from what you choose!"
I hope this is all still placeholder combat and dialog because, as it is right now it's beyond shit.

I'm with djaoni on this one, from what we've seen until now there is almost nothing even remotely deep or particularly engaging, from the combat to the extreme linearity. But that was just the beginning of the game,
and the fact that TW2 is a PC-only title brings me to think that there's still a glitter of hope..

His voice sounds exactly the same to me...in early videos it was different because it was only placeholder voice acting, but all the recent videos sound like the same guy from Witcher 1.

The first one was very good, this looks 10x that.
When is it released btw?

The speculation comes to an end! CD Projekt RED today confirmed the release date of the one of the most-awaited RPG titles of 2011. The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings is targeted for release on May 17, 2011. Release dates in specific territories may vary, and will be confirmed closer to the date.
“We’ve decided to move the launch date back a few weeks to afford us more time to polish the game” - said Adam Badowski, project lead at CD Projekt RED. “Of course, we know that players would like to get the game as soon as possible, so we hope that they will forgive us! We strongly believe that the extra time spent polishing the title will be well worth the wait”.
