please post screens guys, need to see if AA can be enabled in this game, I believe it's a deferred renderer though, so unless DX11 (not sure about DX10) code path is available then we are not going to get any AA.
Some recent screenies over at pcgames.de show it to be a jaggy mess on the PC, hopeully in motion it will be fine ?
I hated the demo on PS3 due to the 30fps and heavy handling, seems completely alien a Criterion game running at <60fps. Hopefully PC version will sort all of this out.
Please post some more first impressions guys !

Thats right it a deferred renderer. But perhaps we can force AA on NV-Cards over the tool "nivdia inspector"
On ATI cards >= 5000er the new AA "MLAA" should work in NFS HP 2010

The only simulative title that I have installed on my HDD is still GTR 2 (modded). It's a title from 2006, but its driving model is still excellent and certainly superior to any other recent "hybrid" game recently released.

hmm i'm sure forcing aa through nvidia inspector is working, u just need a hell of a lot of it. game is ok but not really my thing, i'm more into games like the previous game, shift. will probably play for an hour or two before deleting it
oh yeah and it runs great, constant 60fps@1080p with 8xsq and 16xaf forced, only graphical bug i could see was the rear view mirror, rest was perfect

So far it's a nice continuation of Burnout 2 but I'm yet to see anything that relates to the Need for Speed series.
Kind of a cheap move from EA. They don't know what to do with the NfS brand so they just buy a successful and fun in its own way (but totally different) company and rebrand their product as the new Need for Speed. I expected some hybrid of NfS and Burnout but this is pure Burnout 2.

Not even by forcing via video card control panel?
Go to Fraps - Screenshots - screen capture hotkey.

Well it was the same with Shift as well. They licensed what was known as "Ferrari Project" and just made it into a general racing game, rather than focused on Ferrari. The "true" sequel to the silly NFS titles of last few years is NFS World, by the same team.

Why the fuck is AA so important guys? Screw that, I don't need it anyway, I don't care if it doesn't have. Played a little, game seems fine, nothing special, but it's Burnout all the way. I had quite some fun playing Burnout Paradise online until they made that update. I had fun even playing it in single player, but this car handling really doesn't fit a game like this, it's just retarded.

It´s important cause otherwise it looks like a PS2 game.

MLAA works apparently via ATI 10.10d/e (E makes it work for 5000 series as well.) though forcing normal AA (ATI calls this "box") is also said to function, probably AAA and stuff like edge-detect will as well if used.
(They're different terms and modes of AA filtering for ATI, SSAA I'm unsure about and I don't know how NVIDIA handles it but profile editing works there so it should be doable.)
