No this game is freaking fun, using ati 5870hd card, game looks awesome, those who getting the connection error, run game as admin then when u get the error, keep pressing ESC, worked for me. I cant stop playing, hot cars, oh my, the level where u drive up the snowy mountain, such beaty in the game as the windy snow blows down the hills.. just Wow-e!
My fav car racing game so far.

it's a good arcade racer. just be sure not to expect something else.
by the way forcing AA works good with Catalyst 10.10e.

Been testing the game. Doesn't look that bad at 1920x1080(also using the Catalyst 10.10e without forcing aa though) although the framerate on my PC could do better but I have one question.... are there any weather FX in this game as in seeing the water droplets coming down?
I've played some races where the tarmac was wet but I didn't get to play one where it actually rains... I hope this isn't another Burnout Paradise. Biggest disappointment with that game is that it didn't have any rain FX... WTF it's a racing game!

It's fucked up - there's water on the roads, but it never actually "rains" (no water droplets falling from the sky or onto windshield). Pretty big fucking oversight if you ask me.
I'm also disappointed at the inability to pit maneuver AI opponents. They just keep on going like nothing has happened, meanwhile your car grinds to a halt. Rubberbanding magical superboost AI also makes a return.
Fun for a few hours..but definitely not great.
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

Ugh, what a completely unremarkable game. It's back to the roots in a way, but it's got nothing on good old NFS:High Stakes which was the best of the older NFS games(with the exception of the non-arcade NFS:Porsche, of course).

NFS:Porsche had it all. Great balance between arcade/realism, great cars, upgradeable cars, great tracks and much much more. Tbh everything between then and now has been terrible as far as I'm concerned.

Agreed, but I'd have liked a bigger selection of car brands. That would pretty much have made it the ultimate racing game as far as I'm concerned. Still probably by far the best one I've played though.

I would also like to know how to change the language. The current install of NFS HP is in Dutch, the numer 1 language I never want to see in a game. Ruins the magic of high speed chases imo.
Also, to everyone who is b*tching about bad graphics and cars that drive like a block of concrete:
The graphics looks really good imo. The cars looks good, the environment looks stunning and the crashes never get old. And the car handling...yes, it needs getting used to, the drifting is really REALLY unrealistic (but still pretty nice) and the reaction of the cars is quite slow. But, despite all that, it's a pretty good game. Races are cool, chases are a thrill and it's not too easy. The only criticism I have is that you get access to the supercars WAY too fast. Why not start with some boring everyday cars and move on to the faster tiers after an hour or 2?
And then there's the following, not a point of criticism though: THIS IS NOT NEED FOR SPEED!
This is Burnout with cop chases. Burnout 1/3 though, which is a good thing, but this is not NFS. Not even close. Yes, there are exotic cars, cool locations, cop chases, but the structure is miles away from what NFS used to offer 10 years ago. But, since this is the closest thing to the old NFS3/4, I'm happy with it. It's way better then Underground, Carbon, Pro Street, Undercover, etc.
And personally I think NFS goes the following way: Shift, Hot Pursuit and Underground. All deviations of NFS, all with it's own fanbase. Who knows?

Change Language key to "Englisch" and Locale key to "en"
and still no way to force aa on nvidia?

Any ideas if u can port the single-player stats from the cracked version to the legit one after you've signed in to the auto-log feature? Does EA use a similar feature to Steam Cloud?

I couldn't get my DFGT working although the game recognized it as a controller. I could not map any buttons or even turn the wheel.
Played less than an hour, just seems so mediocre, nothing special to see here.
