Radicalus wrote: | It's true I haven't played a racer since Grid, but, in all honesty, two questions:
1. Is it just me, or is there serious input lag. Holy shit man, good driving reflexes saved my life aplenty, if it took a second or more to start steering IRL, I think cars would be banned.
2. Why is there no need for brakes in this game?
P.S. Gas=A, brake =Z... So uhm, did we get derped so much, that the default keybindings make sure we can use both hands for a sum total of 4 buttons? One of which is never needed... |
No lag for me. And, sure, you could do the whole race just holding the accelerator button but you'd never be competitive. But you could do the same thing in almost ANY racer out there that doesn't disable your car due to damage.

Is there such thing as "skirmish" mode? Where I can chose map & car and start to play instantly, without this carrier bullshit?

Quick question, can I create an account and connect to the auto log servers on with the cracked version? I don't plan on playing online, but just recording my stats. Doable?
Scratch that, just tried logging in and it's asking for a CD KEY.

Did any of you notice how the PC version of this game has no rain? Seriously... I can hear the rain fall, the water splashes off my tires, but there is no rain falling. This is freaking ridiculous.
It's also not running great on my E7400 @ 2.8 GHZ with 4 GB of RAM and a 9800GT. It's over recommended requirements and should be able to play this game no problem. Crap.

This game looks like a cartoony turd. The only thing I like about it so far is the bitch who describes each car. Take that feature, plaster it over the best driving game on earth, Need For Speed Porsche, update its graphics and you have yourself a winner.

runs great on my old rig e6550 8800gts 3 gb ram and yes no rain here too..i can see clearly that the road is wet and water splash tiers, but this isn't so bad for me...so i can't see the rain who cares but i tried it with my logitech g27 and ff suck as and this is one of not too many racing games that actualy piss on wheel and put the keyboard under the spotlight. i want to play this with my wheel
my Conclusions is that need for speed most wanted was better if you take the police chases aspect and driver also do it much better and chases in gta are great they did something wrong here...graphic imo is nice..i like the driving sites and the view, but the othere stuff...i really don't know

We need a "Most Wanted 2" (without the cheating AI).
This NFS is boring. Cars don't turn well unless you use the handbreak, which is overpowered. They also feel heavy as stated earlier.
When you chase someone as cop, he will wait for you if you get distanced (how nice !).
When you want to restart a race you'll have to push continue twice and wait a bare minimum of 15 seconds (thanks but I've seen the introductions once, I dont want to watch them another time).
You don't really have your own cars. You unlock cars which can be used as soon as you have the proper bounty. And you have to select the car you want to ride with everytime you start one.
Some cars can't be used everywhere (at least at the beginning).
It's a racing game, no free-ride between 2 races so all you have to do is to finish the race to avoid the cops if you're chased.
Fun for a hour or two, not much more.

Same here solid framerate, but at some spots it tends to stutter like a stutterer.
Very annoying when coming out of an corner.

What issue would that be? Q9400 here and it's running perfectly fine with 4xMLAA on.
