Odd... the old drives should not prevent you from playing, and also the old Sammies were supposed to be "safe" from AP25 checking (since it's not supported).
If your game isn't booting on your drive, something else is going on. MS would never be able to get away with selling games that don't boot on all their consoles.
Was not so for me, using LT 1.0 on LiteOn and attempting to upgrade to LT 1.1.
Luckily I had my old key, otherwise I would have had to solder.

I was using the latest JungleFlasher at the time, and the guide indicated that the old LO83Info (or wahtever) button that used to extract the key, no longer works if you've flashed LT. Also the the old key probe no longer worked either. As I said, luckily had my old key around, the key extraction method did not look pleasant!

My Xbox was a Liteon, and that broke (dirty disc errors), so I just bought a Samsung MS28 because it seemed the easiest to flash - couldn't be arsed messing around with extracting the keys and all that - and it wasn't too expensive. I put the Samsung LT firmware on it, just used my Liteon key.
I wasn't expecting AC:B to work on it though, after what I'd read.

Can I still patch these new games to wave 3? Every game till now (including newer ones like Fable 3 & Black Ops) has worked just fine after patching with the 360 Wave Patcher, but now with Harry.Potter.and.the.Deathly.Hallows.Part.1.XBOX360-GLoBAL it's complaining about an unknown wave that might result in image corruption? Can I just ignore that, use some other program or do my brothers actually have to start buying games?

I also have a Benq drive with Ixtreme 1.51 FW on it.
I have been baned from live over a year now and I did the kinect/fall 2010 update a week ago downloading the update from MS site onto a usb key and then installed it.
Before all of the above, I just used the wave patching on my isos and always worked.
Did the same thing after the above, patch my 2 latest games I got, AC:B and NFS Hot Pursuit.
Loaded them into my machine and they both work flawlessly without any problems whatsoever.
Before the dash update the games would show no problem but required the update to play. Not anymore
So yes with the Benq drive and fw 1.51..it works. Im sure someone else can confirm this.

416. Works on banned Benq running on Ixtreme 1.5 with updated kinect dashboard and game patched to wave 2 and I did not get asked for an update. It will not work on LT only Benq 1.5.

I have no idea how all of this works with the new ap2.5 or whatever the fuck this new thing is...Hell I did not even flash my own box lol...But the person that did it witch I know..told me I had a Benq drive with FW Ixtreme 1.51 that dates from around 2 years ago.
And again it works for me...so no...I do not have any special drive for me nor do I have magic abilities or some weird spells for it to work...it simply works the way I explained it weather it makes you happy or not!
