I heard Nolan was going to shoot his next masterpiece, the third Batman, fully in Imax... That means he will need some pretty fast hard drives for editing. I am thinking several SCSI 10000RPM drives in RAID-0. But he will also want fault tolerance, so he might want to mirror that RAID0 in a RAID-1 configuration.

new harry potter = 7/10 or so ... kinda meh since it seems like most of the interesting stuff was held back until pt. 2... and the cinema was so fucking busy it was ridiculous, even though it was playing on 6 screens.

The Thin Red Line - 8,5/10
I rewatched it in HD, one of the best war movies I've ever seen, with outstanding performances by the actors (especially Nick Nolte and Sean Penn, as usual) and focused more on the balance between nature, war and man rather than on useless special effects.

I really never understod why people like Thin Red Line - I think it was one of the most boring war movies I ever seen. But I must agree that the acting is still good.

I appreciated the slow pace and how the director decided to draw attention to the psychological and reflective aspects of the characters in a non stereotypized way.
It's a "different" movie, totally non Holliwoodian, and I liked that

What other movies should I watch that has a similar feel? I have the DVDr of Brazil and I've seen that movie with the guy who wants to be an astronaut yet has inferior genes (can't remember name), what else is there?

The Sorcerers Apprentice - 6/10
Why did I even bother. It was mildly entertaining I suppose at moments but it just felt like a waste of time. |
Gattaca
It was an interesting concept and movie, entertaining definetely, but in no way a masterpiece!
Anyway, is there any HD release from Primer or Pi ?

There's an HD for Cidade de Deus and Tropa de Elite, you can't get more Brazil than that!
