I'm not gonna bitch about the game's playability, 'cause i can almost accept anything when they tag it with arcade, even bathtubs with car logos, as long as they provide me with some fun, but this game fails to bring anything new to the market. It tries to be cool, so much, that it annoys you to death.
P.S: Stop with fucking "pummm" "zappp" on the menus for Christ sake. And what's up with the level up? Is this another contestant for the best rpg of the year like Mass effect 2?

Leo what's your deal with this game? From the first page the only thing you do is preach how "derp" the game is. Noone is holding a shiv against your throat forcing you to play it.
Because Shift brought back the quality to the Need for Speed brand, after years and years and years of shit, and lo and behold, it's worse than before. At least with MW and Carton there was a hilariously bad CG story to make you laugh. Here you have unskippable bullshit videos that take themselves way too serious "zomfg you are on this island but dem damn racers want to make it bad so you are cop to arrest them by making their car explode"!

I've looked in the registry but there are two values, Language and LanguageName. I don't know what number goes into Language.
You made the same mistake i did you probably looked in the 1.0 "folder", look one level up, there you will find the registry values you need to change, or get the selector from gcw
On a related note: This game has been a sobering experience for me. Even at wanted level 2 the races are way too challenging for me, i needed at least three tries for each of the last five races. The one with the McLaren F1 i'm 16 seconds off the time you need for gold and i have no idea what i'm doing wrong but what kills it mostly is the rubberband ai. It's simply demotivating if you push someone into oncoming traffic, see them crash in your rearview mirror, only to be back behind you 10 seconds later. Back in nfs underground (the first one) the game had 3 difficulty settings and in the lowest the rubberband was off, you could actually lap your opponents. What was so wrong with that?As it is, uninstall.
i didnt like Burnout Paradise even tho HP had some elements from it
and like i said earlier , it's really enjoyable , HP2 was shit with horrible controls and the helly dropped toxic waste canisters that exploded
Compared to other need for speed games this one blows, no buying cars, customizing, the cops are just annoying not even fun to run from, the graphics blow even worse than the last nfs game, the sound effects seem like they were scrapped as well, I remember flying past cars and getting bass wosh's great engine sounds this game the cars sound weak all I can hear is tire screeching which sounds like crap even with high quality sounds on it sounds terrible.
The only thing they really did was make it so every time you make a turn your car drifts for you automatically no need to have skills to play this console tard classic the game is pretty fucking easy I don't think I have lost a race all the cars are super easy to control.
So if you are a retard that blows at all other racing games and want to feel like a winner go ahead and pickup this game you will be drifting all over and winning easily Not to mention the 20 minute introductions to everything that u cant skip.

guys, is online any good? are there enough players? lags?
Don't know about PC as I didn't buy it but my friend has it for the ps3. This game is geared towards online play (cops vs robbers) despite all the negative feedback in here, the game is okay online and fun and should be played online to get the most out of this game.
Don't have time to stop and cuss the lack of AA when playing vs others.
Mulit-Core CPU's
We've now located and fixed the problem that players were reporting where the game would crash on Car Select, Map Screen, Loading screen or just at the start of an event. Interestingly we're actually intrigued that the game works at all after our investigations with the problem actually manifesting itself in code that we shipped as part of Burnout Paradise.
We've also taken the opportunity to address a couple of other reported problems.
