Yes, clunky feel. If you don't understand what it means, you never will. Just how it is.

The original battlefield was one of the best games ever. What are you talking about? I WISH it will be as good as that.
Cluncky feel? |
The inexperienced seem to think that bullets instantly travel where you shoot.
Thus in BF when all the Counter-Strike players couldn't hit anyone they became angry, because in BF games you have to lead a bit.
Don't worry, if they don't get it, they never will.

been reading about this, you can find a better translation here.

And now for some actually understandable translation OK im not an english professor but it my skillz should be better than babelfish´s...
According to an unofficial source BF2 fans somehow accessed EA GAMES fileservers where they found a playable BF2 version. One can guess that the fans will get hand on this version and that it was leaked. This downloaded file now roams the www and the filesharing databanks...
We cannot judge the validity of this info, but we will do everything to get more accurate info on this ´rumor´. We were equally astounded, just like you probably are now...
Like with most every Top-games the fans will try everything to get hands on a version prior to release.. just think of HL2..the source code was stolen there as well.. has the same now happened with Battlefield 2?
We will keep you informed..stay tuned</blue>
In the comments to this news one guy posted it was the demo that was leaked, another one said it is a huge file disguised as BF Vietnam. (There were already some server watch screens posted on this forum where the game was partially named BF2 and sometimes BFV as far as I remember). But no one actually said he DLed it - well that would be pretty stupid in a public forum...
Anyway, if there is a full version of the game out there it will be bad for many reasons: either EA will release BF2 earlier than planned and it will probably not as finished as it would be with the additional time; or it will be delayed even more, maybe to add features that were intended for a patch but will now be inserted to make the game more unique.
If I stumbled across this file I wouldnt DL it, too much risk with the lawyer army EA surely employs...

I'll take a broken buggy beta anyday, because I have the comprehension to understand that it's a broken buggy beta, something a lot of people around here can't do.
As long as you have the mental capacity to realize exactly what you're playing, you can enjoy it.
But there are always people who will play a version like that and be like "Oh my fucking hell shit1T#T# this game SUCKXXX HAHAHAH EA BLOWS"

I remember playing battlefield the first one and it was fun flying but was almost impossible controlling with keyboard.
I had many issues with Battlfield there was so many. Overall the interface apperance was something out of 32 bit system. It was just plain ugly to look at.
Another big issue I had was the gay voice over in the games. It was just so bland when it came to the sound.
Snipers inability to zoom in and out. I hated this shit so much. It was almost no point in being a sniper.
The biggest thing that absolutely made me give up on battlefield and most FPS is that movement was horrendously slow. I felt like was power walking even when I was trying to sprint. It just made the game boring. Trying to get to the enemies base took forever. I am sure this game will be no different even though I been desperately trying to get into another online FPS.
Recently bought UTK2004 but it was kind of boring because of the characters and overall environment.
I will probably end up buying it because there is pretty much anything else out there that I can play online right now. But I sure hope the movement is a little faster.

I don't understand why people say this.
A) Jump in a transport.
B) Go for the nearest enemy flag.
Not a single map in ANY BF game is large enough to feel boring if you would just go for the nearest flag. The maps are bigger than say Counter-Strike so you can plan a decent attack instead of marching in the front gate.

There are many more reasons why not to like Battlefield than simply the size of the maps - which in my opinion weren't big enough!!
I really disliked infantry combat.

Well a lot of people didn't, I can accept that, that's perfectly fine for debate, I just get irked when I hear people complain about how they can't find a fight, or it takes too long to get anywhere.
There is ALWAYS a fight at enemy flags, no reason why you shouldn't be finding someone.
Most people think they can just charge across the map and camp the other teams main base and be cool. That's not how it is supposed to be. If you just go for enemy flags, the game is always action packed.

I am just saying that player movement was really slow. Even when sprinting. Also infantry fighting was so boring. Snipers were usless. I mean have you ever play games like RTCW where every class of soldier has weakness and a strength? I mean there was almost no different of changing weapons when playing battlfield.

Snipers weren't useless, I can rack up kills as a sniper, just hide in a bush in a high traffic area, learn to lead a target, and pop him in the head. It takes practice, something some people aren't willing to put their time into.
