I actually had that idea before, not many took the bait though, do not be mistaken though, I'm quite keen on the idea of a NFOHump coropration, even if the memberbase would be low.
Hrm... as for the BC, I need something that will help me establish a capital of money, and I guess that suggests ratting/doing missions as safe route.

Armour specced btw, not shields.

making money in missions is not as good out of 0.0 complexes now, like in safe security and doing lvl 4's is not as lucrative, they got rid of alot of good drops if not all so u cant ramp up the iskies..

Your best bet in all fairness unless your skilled in lots of construction is to mine/bot lol .. It blows but if you cant handle level 4 missions and if u need a BC sounds like you cant, as you will need something more substantial like a raven class tank or domi etc for those..

Everything in eve to make isk takes time, real time, and unless your supported with good sills that time issue gets longer..

Just started playing it on the free 5 days they offered me. I think I'm finally starting to enjoy this game.

Took me some time to get to like it though, my character is almost 7 years old and I tried to start playing for 5 times, each time giving up within a few days.

FW is still awesome though...stealth bomber + interceptor sidekick = PROFIT Very Happy
and even though they nerfed the juicy loots, dualboxing highsec lvl4s still makes me at least 20mil/hour...which i know is far lower than grinding sanctums or WHs for example, but i don't have the skills for that anyway. plus it's done with minimal effort, using afk domis/rattlesnakes and the noctis (which should be out in a week) will make salvaging/looting even faster

@wizarD: i'm doing shitloads of lvl4s (standing grind for various corps) right now, so if you want to fly support (as in keeping the little buggers off me and salvage), you're more than welcome to join. i had a bunch of mentors and sugar daddys myself when i started out, so it's about time i gave back to the newbs - i'll give you the cane if you have the skills to fly and fit one effectively.

During a 14 or 21 day free trial, do you think it would be possible for someone to learn the game and earn enough ISK to buy a one month subscription using in-game currency?

Yes, without huge issues, you'd need to dedicate it quite some time tho.

I admit I'm not very knowledgeable about Eve.
You can start out from scratch never having played eve before and make 350 million ISK in 2 weeks?

Care to elaborate, Mussolinka?

You would need to make 700k an hour to get 350mil in 21 days.

To get 700k an hour you would need to run lvl 2 missions, and likely need a cruiser for that. I doubt you'd have time to train you skills to get a crusier in that period, let a lone have time to run that many missions with it.

Although, I'm also not very knowledgeable about it and there might be some better way to get cash that early in the game.

Nah it's possible although pretty hard. I've read about a few people who've actually done it, and it mostly involved nullsec and a good grasp of the game mechanics. Nullsec ratting with friends can be quite profitable. Scamming can make you a ton of money in no time although you'll have to know the nuances of the market. Also, a dedicated ninja salvager can make quite a bit of money too.

Or you could just sit outside a station in Jita and loot every shit that blows up Laughing

Sure.

The thing that attracted me to Eve was the scummery you could commit.

Ninja salvaging can be trained and learned in few hours, and from then it's downhill.

Find a lvl 4/5 mission hub
Scan for BS's and any other high tier mission running boats
Warp to
From here there 3 options depending on how you proceed: first ask him nicely if you could shadow him and loot/salvage, if he refuses, loot and salvage, if he agrees, you're great to go. I'm not up to date so I don't remember which rats give proper loot(battleship class ships have around 50% chance of dropping a module worth 500k+) and salvage(alloy bars/burned circuits/armor plates). Having proper equipment and high skills I could go as high as 100mil per day given I got lucky.

After ninja salvaging there is also Deltole which has nasty deadspace. Around 2 years ago when there was no indication yet who was warp scrambling you, people kept losing extremely expensive ships and mods there.

Then there is scamming(my favourite is crying I have few hours left on my account and I lack only 10mil to buy a plex).

The tedious way is to just present some nice personality on recruitment channel or just have a friend who will run missions with you allowing you to loot and salvage.

yup, ninja salvaging (and looting) can definitely get you a plex in 3 weeks - but if you're only in it for the cash, prepare for boredom, cause it's gonna take a while. i still do it these days, but that's with a pimped out dramiel that costs more than most carebear boats Cool Face

btw, buying plex with money you've worked for is kinda demotivating imo and a waste of time. let's say you make 20mil/hour, which is the maximum for about anything in highsec (not counting dualboxing multibillion ships, production etc since that's not exactly newb friendly stuff). that plex will take you about 18 hours ingame work, not counting losses etc. and let's be honest, it IS work if you just do it for teh plex. might rather do an hour of two of RL work and be done with it.

I'm not a super genius or anything, so actually I was planning on making two trials. The first 14 day trial just to learn the ropes, and then use the second 14 day trial to make the moneys. Thanks for the tips!

saves u a good 6 weeks anyhow to get going with, goto be a bonus, most people cant hack the waiting time and feel they cant do much till learning is done for most part, ( not including level 4 advanced for most as well )

maybe it will attract more people. but expect to see a mass influx of scam types and pirates I say Very Happy

you forgot hulkageddon alts Cool Face with 20 points per attribute, you could train gank toons in no time, factor in multiple accs + buddy system....tee hee hee. this opens up a gigantic can of worms Laughing

funny thing is that this is actually an incentive for int/mem specced guys like me to train even MOAR learning skills for the next month...apart from the little SP boost, i can then "trade" them in for pew pew related skills next month with a decent margin Very Happy

It's about damn time, learning skills were such a bullshit newbie barrier. Trying to get friends to train learning just basically lead them to quitting.

Can the OP do a poll, eg. "How many here play EVE-Online"? If there are enough of us we should form an nforce-corp or alliance.
