Saw 3D 7.5/10 - It succeeds at what it tries to be. I'd say best saw movie of the bunch too. Over the top like all of them of course.
Semi-crappy ending(first part of it was good), plus some illogical scenes that could have been done better. Other than that great gore fest.

I don't get Yond's point though. An explosion is also all physics and chemistry, but you still call it an effect.

effect is such a generic word. you need to define it.. practical, digital, visual, audio, etc...

I'm still waiting for the full Bluray (or two for special edition?) to download and watch making of!
BTW, don't take my anal analysis seriously, Waargh.

Shame Nolan never records commentary tracks... I'd settle for a writers commentary though.

Thirst, a Korean film was a great Vampire movie, way better than the stuff Hollywood has been trying to shit out these days.
The Host is also a great monster movie.

Korea produces a lot of "odd" movies that would be too experimental for Hollywood and a lot of people find them refreshing. I personally enjoyed movies like the "Revenge trilogy", Mother, Memories of Murder, Thirst...
They feel different to Hollywood without succumbing to arthouse.

korean movies are nice but one thing that i hated about the vengeance trilogy is things like 4 guys jacking off near a wall and stuff like some fat lady sucking some vagina and wtf i wanna enjoy a movie not puke at it.its just gross and adds nothing.
some things are better left to the imagination.

I Saw The Devil - 6.75 / 10 ... actually kinda disappointed by this...
Spoiler: | guess I didn't buy the whole 'catch and release' plot line as remotely plausible |
