silent hunter 3 with the same protection was cracked in 6-7 days => scct will be out tomorrow or the day after tomorrow (or earlier hopefully)

Even if you don't buy it you think companies are still going to use out dated protection methods? Games that use protection like securom, or safedisk tend to be easy to crack if you think about it. Groups crack the game the same day it comes out in stores, so I've always thought if they can crack it so fast, they might as well not use any protection. This is why companies have started to use protection like SF. Whining and bitching about companies that use better protection is pointless because their laughing their ass off at you because they then know their doing something right. All you want is a free game. Look at it from their point of view, their protecting their investment and for that I congratulate them. Quality games like Splinter Cell are a rarity these days and should be supported. Even if you plan to buy it when it hits the bargin bins. That's when I plan on buying it.

I agree, they should be supported and i would do the same thing. What I wouldnt do is charge a fuckin arm and a leg for a game that is only really gunna be played once, maybe twice.
Of course ur gunna get the multiplayer freaks, but most ppl are gunna buy it for the single player aspect which has no replay value.
Price the game at say $24.99 and I would buy it hands down as most can afford to lose 30 bucks. But when a game retails for 69.99 (thats what it is here, Toronto) (some places have it for 59.99) that i cant play the shit out of or that i may not like, i have no reason to make the rich, richer...and game devs arent hurting for money...the big games like sc3...fuck, devs make 100K plus easy (the ones workin on the game as they are prolly more talented than say the Soldner devs lol). When I make 100K a year, I will support them, until then, 69.99 is my cell phone bill.... |
Don't worry it will maybe in couple of years it will cost 5 euro like SC1,btw i found SC2 for 15 euro & i still not gonna buy it cause it full of bugs & they didn't fixed shadows for ATI it looks like crap, imo SC1 had better gfx,also multi in SC2 just didn't like it spys moved kinda wierd & singleplayer movement were absolutly diffrent,SC3 has great gfx but no ps2 support it sux realy bad all this cause of friggin nvidia with it ps3 that slows down to unplayable level,marketting what can u say  ,& multi in this one using same crappy SC2 multi engine,anyway i played only CSS on-line mostly & i don't have friend with whom i could play co-op in SC3,
paying 40euro for singleplaya is 2much anyway cause it will be like installed/played/uninstalled maybe replayed after 4-5 month if i get bored with nothing to play but i doubt that cause GTA SA commin out in 2 month ,this one i'll buy for sure cause they made best games ever that u can play for month even years still got VC on my hd playing sometimes when new mods commin out & this game what 3-4 years old

I will wait another week, hopefully it doesnt take that long ! I am sure that the groups are working in collaboration ironing out all the bugs that need to be fixed. We can all remember when SC:PT was realeased by Imm the cd protection wasnt disabled and DEV had to come out with a crack fix. It just takes time, soon it will be released.

Even the harder protections have been ripped off in last games... just remember hl2 case, which was a pain in the ass 4 VENGEANCE, but after some time and A LOT of UPDATES, we were able to get finally the game.
There is not and there will not be ever, "unrippable" protection which can be knocked down. That's why exist 2 many groups, that's what 4 all they work.

I read about StarForce and apparently it encrypts more than just executable, it encrypts the DLLs as well. So I can imagine why this is taking so long.

I hope so since it's clear and obvious that Reloaded is not able to crack Spliner Cell Chaos Theory. They would already do this instead of releasing some crap Starforce titles without virtual machine (beta? reviews? exes from other language releases?) and everyone screams: "bring us SCCT!".
People don't want to understand that Reloaded don't know how to crack it (that's nothing to feel ashamed).
I'm waiting for Alcohol steps (blacklist) and the mini-image.

they started to crack starforce 3 games, and they are trying to crack every starforce 3

And onto the Topic... The game is really great... Graphics and all... but the Coop really needs some more work... hopefully some patches will fix it soon... :]

This game is not ganna be cracked, who is ganna crack it? Reloaded with their onprotected .exe's or hoodlums with their stolen/not working tools. Well din't get me wrong respect for Reloaded and Hoodlum when they bring us working games but be honest Reloaded did not cracked a single starforce game. All the exes they use are just not protecte. They must have a source who knows a lot more about starforce or a source he can get to exes before they are starforced.
The only groups ever really cracked starforce 3 are Ultima and Immersion and Ultima only did race games so we only could count on Immersion but they are vanished?
