Awesome to hear that the propaganda bitch is back (at least on that one map!) Very Happy Also stoked about other players being able to hear your radio music - I doubt however that you'll be able to select the specific song you want (ala BFV) as the tardboxes simply don't have enough buttons to support that feature. Sad

I seen some bc2 kit for $19.99, it adds a different color uniform for each class i believe and the vietnam DLC (really a expansion) adds 4 maps, new guns, new classes, vehicles and such and is $15.00 Cool Face

i dont have the 20 dollars to pay for a different color'd green uniform but im glad others do, its a nice change shooting different looking enemies

It's $5.95 on STEAM. Adds one "new" uniform per each class per side, but really all it does is change the color (from red to green, grey to black), fairly pointless since it's first person and you can't see yourself.

Also adds 4 new weapon skins, but all that does is change them to like a black/grey tiger camo, again pointless.

I don't know where you saw it for $19.99, but they're ripping people off big time Very Happy

Don't think you understand what I meant. In the original Battlefield: Vietnam, there was 20 odd songs. You'd hop in a vehicle, hit the radio button, and a playlist would pop up lettered a. - q. You hit the letter of the song you want and it skips right to it.

Someone has already ripped the BC2: Vietnam radio soundtrack - the only two songs that are on separate tracks are Fortunate Son and Ride of the Valkyries (I'm assuming because they're used in the main menu and somewhere else). The rest of the songs are all merged together in 3 radio tracks - you can't pick the one you want.

Rest of the tracks, imo, are fairly crap. Battlefield: Vietnam had all major songs. This just has 90% filler crap that I've never heard of.

Typical EA - guess it wasn't "economically feasible" to license decent songs.

Hey guys, i'm rather new to playing BC2 on PC (played a lot on PS3 though) and I don't understand why I get disconnected all the time. Whatever server I use I get to play like a few rounds and then it's connection lost or something like that. Then it tries to reconnect and just hangs there. Always. Can't quit or cancel - need to Ctrl-Alt-Del and kill the process.

Maybe there's some ini/cfg tweaks? Thanks.

P.S. It's not a network problem because I can play MW or BO for hours w/o any lags or disconnects. BC2 on PS3 plays fine too.

Might be a server reseting, it happened to me 3 times today 3 servers reset when I was playing on them and I thought that I was losing connection because it says I lost connection to the server but when I checked my history the server I was on is now empty like everyone else lost connection also, this only started happening recently probably in the last 2 days, not sure if this is your issue.

There's also an issue many people have, including me, ever since the beta:
You play for a few rounds and at some point the game will freeze - the players will be running in one place(sort of stuck), the shooting stops. It gets eerily quiet Smile
This goes on for a few seconds and then you get disconnected (server connection lost or something like that)

This is fixed by disabling UPnP in your modem/router settings. I am not sure why this is happening. But it was a source of great frustration for me until I figured it out. The same thing happens in MoH, so it's some kind of a Frostbite netcode glitch.
I didn't have much trouble reconnecting though, so this might be another issue in your case.
Still, it's worth looking into.

I actually had that but it was fixed after the first patch for me...
Unfortunately the game still feels broken to me in other aspects. Sad

Bc2 had 10 maps when it was released, 5 maps with a new setting for 15 bucks it´s a bargain, people will always complain about something.

The NVA don't get any sort of helicopter to counter the Huey? How exactly is that balanced?

Until they optimize the netcode for the freakin game I'm giving the expansion a pass. Game is still unplayable for me almost a year after release.

Singleplayer campaign works flawless... multi lags constantly on any settings (try going as low as 1024x768). The game is great too bad DICE is involved in 10 different projects.

Going to guess the Huey is only for one map, where the US is on the attacking side.

Or they just went ahead and gave both teams Hueys.

NVA never used helicopters so I don't see why they would, even if they did what equivalent Russian helicopters would be even worth putting in in Vietnam era equipment.

Besides I think the huey is being used as a transport role instead of an attack role like the BH.

If you played some rush maps you can see that the US has helicopters and Russians dont.

The Huey is armed with dumb-fire rockets akin to the modern Apache in the game. It's most likely going to be a hybrid of the MI-24 currently in game (in terms of the way it handles), Blackhawk (side mounted M60's), and Apache (pilot gets dumbfire rockets). It'll be anything but a transport helo, and for the sake of game balance the NVA needs an equal counter.

hey I was getting those 999 pings in server browser, running the exe as admin didnt help but disabling my firewall did, its nod32 but it never has issues with other games.
i also chatted with a couple people and both said the ingame ping shown is wrong, you need to subtract roughly 100 or less but its wrong, the browser ping shown is what your ping to that server really is.

but its fixed now.
