Guys, do you have the May PC gamer?
There was a hands-on preview and I don't have an Idea how or why, they said STALKER is bad. They said gfx aren't that good and that it does not use all the Direct x 9 shit. They say textures are mediocre and that animations are jerky and unrealistic. Also, they said AI was ignoring the player and overall very stupid.
The only good thing they said was that all things above SHOULD be fixed and upgraded for full release and that's why the editors think it will take sometime until the game will come out.
I don't know wheter to belive them or to think they made some mistake. But facts are facts:/

I think stalker will be more forfilly to me then HL2 because stalker reminds me of the good old fallout days, besides it has allot of RPG element in it, HL2 is a run and gun game with allot little physics to play with.

Thats not to say the Source engine isn't better, im talking about the GAME here not the graphics.

From what i've seen in movies and screenshots, this game has a very special feeling and this has the potential to be one of the best games ever. It has some kind of strange, scary atmosphere.

Well PC Gamer thought that Deus Ex 2 rocked, so i don't trust them that much any more.

Kieron Gillen can suck my wang.

Anyway, F.E.A.R will pwn all!

Comparing this game to all these rail shooters (HL2, F.E.A.R.) isn't even fair. This game is much more ambitious and credit must be given to the developers for trying something different.

Don't kid yourself into a false sense of freedom. Any FPS that forces you to go through a linear set of events or stages is just a rail shooter, a ride as opposed to a game.

Don't dwell too much on the archaic definition of the rail shooter, times have changed, concepts change, definitions change.
